Student and art.

Today, I’m going to talk about benefits of playing musical instruments for students. we all know music play
an important role in our life and learning to play musical instruments is more interesting, especially towards
students. Nowadays, most students tend to pursue musical instruments learning as they know that it provides
many benefits beyond our imagination. So now I’ve divided my presentation into 3 parts to show 3 main
advantages of playing musical instruments for students . These are improving Math skills, coordination
skills and improve social skills. I would be grateful if any questions could be left the end. Right let’s get
started.

1. Math skill

In the first part, I want to mention an advantage for helping improve Math skills.

Extensive research done in this area has proved that children who learn to play a musical instrument do
better in academic. It may seem like a creative act, but there are many parallels to Math. Music can help
with the development of maths skills. By listening to musical beats student can learn basic fractions and
pattern- recognition. (For Ex, music is divided in sections called measures. Look at this picture it has 2
measures. In each measure has amount of equal rhythmic information called beats. Learner must ready-
witted in counting beats in each measures to create time- signature which one number on top and one on the
bottom. By being expert at learning this thing, it is actually useful for learners to study fraction in Maths).
Children who study music also have improved spatial intelligence and ability to form mental pictures of
objects – skills that are important for more advanced mathematics such as algebra and geometry.

2. Coordination skill.

Moving on now to the second part, I would say that playing musical instrument can bring coordination skill.
Learning a musical instrument exercises your body in new and unique ways. As musicians learn these new
movements, they become aware of their body and develop better coordination. (For instance, playing flute
students must position their hands and arms properly to hold the instrument, while their fingers move in
different patterns to hit the right note. Player must also use the correct embouchure and breathing techniques
to produce the desired sound. Futhermore , while playing students also use their ears to hear the rhythm,
speed, texture, and eyes to read music at the same time, which makes the body and mind work together the
music). By practicing these skills often, it can help students be more active in mind when listening lessons at
school and understand more easily.

3. Your social life will improve( in the final part, I want to look at a benefit that…)

Playing an instrument isn’t only good for your brain, it’s also great for expanding your social circle. student
are able to become more involved in collective groups with their peers, such as the school band or orchestra.
Joining a musical group at any age encourages you to develop relationships with new kinds of people. You
learn to work together as a team and develop your sense of empathy with others because of the numerous
hours of practice, events, competitions, and trips, many students form friendships with peers who become
more like family.

It also builds skills in leadership and team-building, as well as showing you the rewards of working with
others.
