Agenda
a. We will be asking you some questions designed to help us to understand
your skills, experiences, and competencies as it relates to this role.
b. We will allow you some time to ask us any questions that you may have
about the role and our store.

Discussing interview questions


a. The types of questions that we will be asking require some
recollection and therefore may require you to take a few moments
before answering to organize your thoughts, please feel free to do
that and take your time.
b. We will be asking the same set of questions to all candidates to
ensure a fair and consistent interview and to ensure that we have all
the information required to accurately compare each applicant to the
qualification and competencies required by the position.
c. If you would like us to repeat a question, or would you like to skip the
question and come back to it at the end of the interview, please just
let us know.

Questions
ABILITY TO HANDLE STRESS
1. What has been the most stressful situation you have ever found
yourself at work? How did you handle it?
2. What have you done in the past to prevent the situation from
becoming too stressful for you are your colleagues to handle?

ADAPTABILITY
1. Tell me about your situation in which you have had to adjust to
changes over which you had no control. How did you handle it?
2. Tell me about a time when you had to adjust your colleagues
working style to complete a project or to achieve your objectives.

ANALYTICAL SKILLS/ PROBLEM-SOLVING


1. Describe the project or situation that best demonstrates your
analytical abilities. What was your role are?
2. Tell me about a time when you had to analyze information to
make a recommendation. What kind of thought process did you
go through? What's the recommendation excepted? If not, why?
3. What steps do you follow to study a problem before making a
decision? Why?

ATTENTION TO DETAIL
1. What prices do you use to check that you have the right details
from the customer?
2. Give me an example of a time we discovered an error that had
been overlooked by a colleague. What did you do? What was
the outcome?
3. Tell me about a time that you were confused by customers
request. What steps did you take to clarify things?

CLIENT FOCUS/ CUSTOMER ORIENTATION


1. When have you had to deal with an irate customer? What did you do?
How did the situation end up?
2. Tell me about a time you have “ inherited” A customer. What steps did
you take to stab establish rapport with them? What did you do it gain
their trust?
3. Do you have an example of a time you went well out of your way to
ensure a customer receive the best possible service from you and the
organization? What was the reaction?
4. Have you ever gone out on a limb to defend a customer? What
happened?

COMMUNICATION
1. Tell me about a recent successful experience in making a speech or a
presentation?
2. Tell me about a time in which you had to use your written
communication skill to get an important point across.
3. Have you ever had to sell an “ idea” to your co-workers? How did you do
it?

LEADERSHIP
1. Tell me about a team project when you had to take charge of the
project? What did you do? What was the result?
2. Describe a leadership role of yours outside of work. Why did you
commit your time to it? How did you feel about it?

SALES/NEGOTIATION
1. Tell me about your previous success in building a customer base from a
standing start. What steps did you take?
2. What is your greatest sales-related achievement to date? What steps
lead to the outcome?
3. Describe a time when you convinced are resistant customers to utilize
your services.
4. What was the most stressful professional negotiation that you have
been involved in? How did you handle it?
