ÔY    (what is the objective of this research?):

In flourishing Indian economy, people are not only earning money but with growing market they see
it as an opportunity to invest their money and get substantial returns.

This research is basically done so as to generalize the population on above given factors so that if a
person entering into investment market he/she should be aware of the facts and figures and the risks
involved before jumping into the venture, as it your hard earned money.

For e.g.- with some solid capacity to absorb some sort of financial shock, a person holding just 10lac
cash in hand can enter real estate market and play a game up to a tune of 2crore , whereas if you
enter into share market at the right time with similar sort of money, you can multiply your
investment into three folds just in about 1.5-2 yrs (from early 2008- late 2009 era).

  (why am I doing this research?):

The sole motto of doing this research is to segregate the whole urban middle class segment (i.e. those
earning between 0.2million to 12.5million per annum), depending on their ³gender, age, marital
status and financial status´, in which market should a person invest (real estate or capital
investment).

For e.g.- if you take a case of a college pass out who takes up a job and start earning money , now as
soon as the person starts earning money, he starts looking for available options so as to invest his
money somewhere so that after a certain period of time he can derive added benefits from his savings
so he will act accordingly and will choose a market that suits his pocket, like for in this case he will
definitely prefer investing in capital market rather than jumping into real estate market , which will
be definitely beyond his reach and scope.
ÿhile on the other hand you take up a case of middle aged man who has already done his service for
around 7-8 years and has already saved a substantial amount of money , he can jump into real estate
market ( buy himself a home or some property) and make profit their or save it as a security , or he
can still invest into capital market depending upon the current position of share market.

In this particular research, qualitative techniques (case study analysis) as well quantitative techniques
(collecting surveys and experimental data) will be taken into consideration. But because this research
is based on general public and that also when considered from a particular segment of society than
large sample size has to be taken into consideration because one cannot generalize for a person living
in Punjab to a person living in eastern part of India.
