LYCA VICTORINO BSA III-G2

1. Do you think there is a change in the way Filipinos commemorate

Rizal Day? Reasons.
Yes, because today's generation when we hear about Rizal day people
nowadays treat him like a normal day compared to ancient times they are all
excited to celebrate the Rizal day and talk about and bring back the good
things he has done in our country. Some people nowadays they ignore
because they have been busy with their respective occupations so that some
people forgot the Rizal day, not only Rizal day but also some holidays, special
days & etc.

2. Give the context of R.A. 1425 and its importance to the education
system of the Philippines.
The Rizal Bill became the Republic Act No. 1425, known as the ‘Rizal Law’.
The Rizal Law helps us especially to the student or the youth that we cannot
forget or to learn the great ideas of the hero died. How to deal with current
problems, the past helps us understand who we are not only in terms of where
we are going, but also where we come from. It teaches nationalism and
patriotism, from Rizal we will learn how to analyse logical and critical thinking
and how to solve our own problems in life and so on and so forth.

3. Do you concur with R.A 1425? Reasons.

For me yes, because without this I have no idea or cannot understand and
give an idea about the past of our hero which commemorates Rizal days.

4. Rizal’s way of patronizing his country led to his death. What do you
think are the reasons why patriotism without death is the culture that
we have today? Does this mean we have less patriotism? Reasons.

It doesn't mean we have less patriotism, it means that people nowadays know
how to respect what people believe in, what people think, what people choose.
It is because we have freedom to choice in every decision and other people
cannot mind that especially if you want other countries to believe but we have
the law to follow but not led to his death.
5. Critics would say that when Rizal wrote his novels, he was not
present in the Philippines and it was as if he was not really fighting
for the country. Do you prefer a hero that is literally in the battlefield?
What is your own definition of a hero?
Not all heroes are in the battlefields Because for me a hero who is
responsible because she/he knows how to handle her/his own responsibilities
without the needs of other people. She/he is capable of doing something that
you never expected not only for yourself but to other people. That is what hero
for me.
