(Medium Carbon Steel)
AISl 1045 is a mediumcarbon steel used in four conditions: hot rolled, normalized, oil quenched and tempered or water quenched and temper-
ed. It is a general-purpose engineering and construction steel and provides medium strength and toughness at low cost. It is commonly used
for flame- or induction-hardened parts.
