1) THEORETICAL FUNDAMENTATION AND SUPPORT READING


A) PASSIVE VOICE in the Present Perfect Tense
Passive voice assimilates the persuasive existence of Present Perfect Tense and
makes an abrupt shift in the verb (To be), this means, verb (To be) suffers a change in
the past participle, turning round to (Been) afterwards auxiliary verb (has/have), later
being this one joined by following action verb in past participle, as well.

1) Active sentences in the Present Perfect Tense have the following structure:

Subject + has/have + action verb past participle + complement


Example: She has understood the boss´ instructions.

2) Passive sentences in the Present Perfect Tense have the same structure:

Subject + has/have + (been) + action verb past participle + by + object

9) Does your mum pick you up? Have been you picked up by
your mom?

10) Police-officer catches unsociable thieves. The unsociable thieves have been
caught by the police-officer

A) Change as following sentences are in Past Perfect Tense to Passive Voice.

1) She had worn some blue shoes. Some blue shoes had been worn by
her.

2) Joe had cleaned the desks ‘surfaces. The desks ‘surfaces had been
cleaned by him.

3) We had lost our mom´s main key. Our mom´s main key had been lost by
us.

4) They had started a fight at school background. A fight at school background had
been started by them.

8) She had noticed to me. I had been noticed by her.

9) Had she solved the drawback? Had the drawback been solved by her?

10) Had he recorded that song? Had that song been recorded by him ?
