Dear school community,

I would like to respond to recent events in the district. Public schools have the responsibility to present
information, aligned to the state standards and our district curriculum, in an objective manner.
Furthermore, we must ensure that students learn about diverse perspectives and foster skills, such as
inquiry, reflection and analysis when discussing current events and topics.

It is the district’s priority to promote an environment for positive student development, and to ensure
student achievement and success. As a school community we will work collectively to promote and
maintain our student-centered environment.
