NTA Declares Joint CSIR-UGC NET Examination Scores
The Joint CSIR-UGC NET Examination was conducted for the first time by the National Testing Agency
(NTA) on 15 December, 2019 all across the country except the States of “Assam” and “Meghalaya” and for
the candidates of “Assam” and “Meghalaya” on 27 December 2019 into two shifts at 629 centres spread
across 220 cities. The examination was conducted in five subjects.

3. HIGHLIGHTS
a) For the first time, the Examination was conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode only to
reduce the burden of examinees.
b) The exam was conducted on 15 Dec, 2019 and 27 Dec, 2019 for one day in 2 shifts and scores have
been declared on 15 January 2020.
c) In order to make the examination system transparent, the Question Paper and recorded responses
were displayed for the verification byexaminees,
d) To ensure accuracy of scoret, the keys of question papers were displayed in advance to invite
challenges if any. The final Answer Keys on which the score is compiled has also been uploaded on
NTA’s website: and https://csirnet.nta.nic.in and https://nta.ac.in..
e) For this nation wide professional examination, live CCTV Surveillance through more than 5000
CCTVs in each shift were carried installed.
f) Cheating using mobile network and other electronic devices was prevented using Jammers at all

centres. A total of more than 5000 jammers in each shift were used.
g) 19 Regional Coordinators, 200 City Coordinators and 600 Observers were positioned for Joint CSIR-
UGC NET December 2019.
h) Instructions relating to issuance/obtaining Eligibility Certificate to qualified candidates will be notified
separately later by CSIR on their website www.csirhrdg.res.in.
