A family of five wishes to go for lunch at their favourite restaurant. They hopped
into their family car which has two front seats and enough space for three persons [1]
behind. Find the number of seating arrangements in the car if only the father can
drive.

At the restaurant, the family was shown to a round table with five seats. Find the [2]
number of ways the family members could seat themselves if the youngest child
insisted on sitting with her mother.

If the family was asked to sit at a round table with six seats which were numbered [3]
from 1 to 6 instead, find how many ways the family members could seat
themselves if the youngest child still insisted on sitting with her mother.

In a ceremony, ten flags, consisting of 3 red, 5 blue and 2 yellow, are arranged in a
straight line for decoration. The flags are identical apart from the colour.

Find the number of ways in which the flags can be arranged if

(i) there are no restrictions,
