REVISION HISTORY
1. OVERVIEW ...................................................................................................................................... 4
1. Overview
This program aims to allow each LCP service point to perform the following.
(1) To readout the DR data from the old MA Board Assy of a failed LCP and save them as a file on PC.
(2) To write the DR data from PC to the new MA Board Assy of the LCP.
2. Operation Environment
2.1 PC System Requirements
PC Specification PC/AT Compatible
Operating System Windows 2000/XP/Vista
Interface Serial (RS232C) or USB
3. Set up CAT_V**
3.1 Limitations and Cautions
3.1.1 IRIS Control
This program uses the IRIS control. Be sure to install IRIS001 before installing CAT_V**.
-The destination folder of IRIS control is as follows.
To allow the local users other than the "Administrator" authority to execute CAT_V**, switch the Windows
user before starting to set up according to the following steps when installing CAT_V** and IRIS001.
Disconnect the communication if the PC is still connected to the other LCP serially (such as using
"Teraterm" or the like).
3.2 Installation
*Cautions on Setup
To allow the local users other than the "Administrator" authority to execute CAT_V**, switch the Windows
user before starting to set up according to the following steps.
CAT_V** program uses the IRIS control. If IRIS001 is not installed on the PC, be sure to install IRIS001

(7) Copy IRIS_MENT.zip on the destination folder where CAT_V** is installed.
Destination folder C:¥IRIS¥IRIS001¥CAT_V**
* CAT_V** may be installed other system drive than C drive depending on the PC.
(9) Execute CAT_V** after logging in the Windows as the local user. (The first time only)
- Once executing CAT_V** as the local user, this program becomes executable as the "Administrator"
authority.
The IRIS001 control is commonly used to execute both RESCUE and CAT. Do not remove IRIS001 when
removing either CAT_V** or RESCUE.

They are usually connected serially, but some models require the USB connection since they only have the USB
terminal. In that case, use USBVCOM (USB connection) instead. Before executing CAT, turn the LCP's power
on after the connection is completed.
-The driver software to support USB connection from the LCP is not included in the setup file
(Setup_IRIS001_Rxx).
- If the driver for the USB connection is not installed on the PC, download the driver from the EPSON's
Web Site and install it beforehand.
