and write it here on the space provided.

“I am Julie-Ann r. Ellorin. Who do you think I am based on what you see me do or hear
me say?”

-Friendly, shy, humble, can get along, intelligent, optimistic, passionate, hard working.
Fun to be with, dedicated, motivated and kind.

-As a friend this is the characteristic that I have observe being your friend you are a good
friend and you are a real person you are not like others which is plastic. And most of all
you are strict in a nice way. Lastly, you don’t let other people look down on you and you
are a kind of person that cares for other and you treat them the way they treated you.

-Julie Ann is a brave woman. She knows when to fight and defend for herself especially
when someone did bad things to her. She may look strict because of her chinita eyes but
the truth is, she is easy to go along with when you get to know her better.

APPLICATION AND ASSESSMENT

Activity 1: Success Stories

Think about and write two or three of your success stories. Use separate sheet when

necessary.

1. Being finished elementary with medals and made my parents proud. I consider that as
one of my success. In that particular situation its really hard to achieve that during my time
because my school is too far from our house. My parents gave a great sacrifice just to make me
finish grade school. My mother sent me to school everyday especially when I’ve enters grade1.
She sent me to school by riding our horse its really fun and unforgettable experience for me.
During that specific time, I really wanted to finish my studies because I want to repay the hard
works and sacrifices that they were given to me.

2. Being finished high school. I also consider that as one of my success. High school is very
long stage because back then it was just only four years taking high school and finally we can
face the last stage which is the college but suddenly the government decided to have changes
towards our education so K-12 was the new one. So high school is 6 years now and its very long
stage/ struggle for every students. But, I've face and fight the struggles of high school. Even
though there are such struggles but most of them was funny experience. They say that high
school life is the best. And I truly agree on that statement, because during in my high school life.
I explored new things/stuffs. I experience being naughty to my teachers, to my friends. High
school was a great success to me and I am thankful to God that he guided me to achieve that.

3. Have pass the MSU SASE EXAMINATION. It was the greatest success for me right
now. Back then, I was just dreaming to pass in that certain examination and to study at Msu IIT.
But I was not able to study at Msu IIT because I was late of the enrollment because I was not
able to access online during that time and unfortunately there was no slot left for me. So I've
decided to study in Naawan . Naawan is my second choice if my score can't pass to the cut-off of
Msu IIT. So I’m in Naawan now because in IIT theres is no slot left for me. It's also an
achievement to enter this certain school.

What does this say about who you are and what’s important to you? Share with your group

“why” these success stories are important to you. We will have a scheduled online session group
sharing.

Activity 2: Improving Self-esteem

Do a research and list ten (10) things to do in order to boost your self-esteem or

improve your self-concept. Cite your resources. Analyze each item which of those that you have listed is
applicable to your own self at this time.

1. Be with people who treat you well.

2. Say helpful things to yourself.
3. Accept what's not perfect.
4. Set goals and work toward them.
5. Focus on what goes well.
6. Give and help.
7. Give yourself a challenge
8. Learn to be assertive
9. Give Yourself a Break
10. Improve Your Physical Health

The 10 things that I’ve cited above are all applicable for my-self in building/ boosting
my self-confidence/ self- esteem. 1. Be with people who treat you well. This will help me to
improve my confidence if I am surrounds by my friends and lift me up by what they say and do.
2. Say helpful things to yourself. By giving time to my-self and tune in to the voice in my head
especially saying helpful things can improve my self-esteem. 3. Accept what’s not perfect. It's
always good to do the best I can. But when I think I need to be perfect, I can't feel good about
anything less. I’ll just accept my best. 4. Set goals and work towards them. This will help me
boost my self-esteem, I’ll just have to do a plan of goals and I’ll stick to that certain plan.5.
Focus on what goes well. I’ll balance with what is good and I’m going to catch my-self when I
complain about my-self or my day. I’ll just find something that went well instead. 6. Give and
help. Giving is one the best ways to build self-esteem. Maybe I’ll practice tutor a classmate, help
clean up your neighborhood, walk for a good cause. Help out at home or at school. 7. Give
yourself a challenge. Maybe I will make challenges to myself. 8. Learn to be assertive. Being
assertive is about respecting other people's opinions and needs, and expecting the same from
them. 9. Give Yourself a Break. Whenever I feel stressed with something I’ll just give my-self a
break and engage to people who makes me feel relaxed and positive with friends and colleagues .
10. Improve Your Physical Health. Take more exercise, eating well, and getting enough sleep.
