Concierto en Blanco y Negro trata de dar unas pinceladas fugaces y metafóricas sobre la compleja personalidad de D. Manuel de Falla.
El primer movimiento, "Oscuridad y misticismo"; evoca el carácter místico y religioso del autor, traducido en una música sombría y
oscura, pero de clara estructura formal. El segundo movimiento, "Pantomima"; refleja, con buen humor,
algunos comportamientos obsesivos de su personalidad; la música, siempre en pizzicato, gira en torno
a cuatro sonidos (que guardan entre ellos una enigmática y conocida relación que representa la antítesis del estilo musical de Falla) que convierten
la música en un círculo sin salida. El último movimiento, "Threnos";
es un canto fúnebre de la antiguedad clásica griega; y está compuesto en la textura más simple que existe y
que caracteriza a esta música: la monodía estricta que, en cierta forma, evoca a la economía de medios
que siempre caracterizó la música de Falla.

Concierto en Blanco y Negro trata de dar unas pinceladas fugaces y metafóricas sobre la compleja personalidad de D. Manuel de Falla.
El primer movimiento, "Oscuridad y misticismo"; evoca el carácter místico y religioso del autor, traducido en una música sombría y
oscura, pero de clara estructura formal. El segundo movimiento, "Pantomima"; refleja, con buen humor,
algunos comportamientos obsesivos de su personalidad; la música, siempre en pizzicato, gira en torno
a cuatro sonidos (que guardan entre ellos una enigmática y conocida relación que representa la antítesis del estilo musical de Falla) que convierten
la música en un círculo sin salida. El último movimiento, "Threnos";
es un canto fúnebre de la antiguedad clásica griega; y está compuesto en la textura más simple que existe y
que caracteriza a esta música: la monodía estricta que, en cierta forma, evoca a la economía de medios
que siempre caracterizó la música de Falla.
