In the modern society, college subjects are divided into two

categories: arts and sciences. Traditionally, history is an important
part of the arts. However, there is a controversy that whether all the
students should learn the history no matter what their major subject
isregardless of their majors. Some people claim that it is a waste of
time, because you they don't use it in normal timesdaily life. In my
opinion, this is not always the case. History courses seemingly always
cross any form of barriers among varied disciplines and it plays a very
crucial role in every aspect. In the following paragraphs, I will
cogently present some noticeable reasons to illustrate this perspective.

for classes, writing papers and participating in competitions every day,

should have a kind of warmth and respect for the history of our
country, because it is closely related to us rather than irrelevant.
Chinese history has seen glory and decline, light and darkness, glory
and humiliation. But it never stops, and this is its charm. It is like the
legendary phoenix, which has been reborn again and again. All of
these histories can help us understand our own country and love it
more. What's more, I think not only students should students know
about the past things, a region, a nation and a country, they should

learning history is good beneficial for the university students to
become a useful person to the society, so. As a result, they should
