DIGIPROCTOR MOBILE TEST APP – DIAGRAMATIC OVERVIEW

o DigiProctor Mobile Test App can be used for subjective and non-subjective
type questions (like multiple choice)
o It can be used for proctored and non-proctored tests. In proctored tests the
app will do authentication, ID validation and will carry out continuous
monitoring of test taker during the test.
o For non-subjective questions, the test taker can chose options in the usual
way
o For short subjective answers, the test taker can type in the answer into the
provided test box
o For longer subjective answers and answers that require test taker to write
or draw circuit diagrams etc by hand on paper answer sheet, DigiProctor
provides the test taker a way to capture the handwritten answer through
the mobile camera and upload them.
DIGIPROCTOR MOBILE TEST APP – HOW TO USE

This is the starting screen of the DigiProctor Mobile Test


App.

At this screen:

1. The version of the app you are using will be checked

2. If you are using an old version of the app, you will be


displayed a message telling you to download the
latest version of the app from Google play store
(android) or Apple app store (IOS)

1. You will have to enter the Test Key

2. You will have to agree with the terms & conditions

3. Then when you click the “Enter” button:


o DigiProctor will check if your Test Key is valid.
o If so, you will be allowed to enter the app.

CONSENT

1. After your Test Key has been validated, you will be


displayed an Alert Message.

2. The Alert Message informs you that you would be


proctored remotely; and states what you can do and
cannot do during the examination.

3. You will have to click “I AGREE” or “I DO NOT AGREE”

4. If you click “I DO NOT AGREE”, you will be EXITED out


of the application

5. If you click “I AGREE” you will be allowed to enter the


test

AUTHENTICATION THROUGH FACE RECOGNITION

1. You will now be authenticated through Face


Recognition.

2. You will have to click the “START CAMERA” button

1. Center your face in the camera canvas

2. Click “TAKE SNAP”

3. After you take the snap, your photo will be compared


with your photo registered with your
university/institution

4. If they match, you will be allowed to proceed.

5. If your face recognition fails, you will be EXITED out.

ID VERIFICATION

1. After you have been validated through the face


recognition, you will have to take a snap of your
Identity card

2. The Identity can be your university/institution ID Card

TEST INSTRUCTIONS

1. After you taken image of your identity card, you will


be taken to the Test Instructions Page

2. There is a timer which counts down the time left for


the test to start.

3. The Instructions Page contains specific actions that


you must follow during the test

4. When the time to start the test is reached, the START


TEST button is enabled

5. Click the “START TEST” button to commence your


test

QUESTION SCREENS

1. You would be displayed the Question Screens


containing questions of different types:
o Multiple choice questions
o Questions with media attachments
o Subjective questions

2. You can read the Test Instructions any time, by


clicking the “Instructions” button

3. If you wish to re-visit the question later, you can


mark it for review by clicking the “Mark for review”
button

4. In multiple choice answers, if you have marked an


option and thereafter wish to unselect the option
you can click the “Reset” button

5. After selecting your option, click “SUBMIT ANSWER”


to move to next question

6. After completion, you can click “END TEST” to end


your test.

1. You would be displayed the Test Screens containing

2. You can zoom image, play video, or hear audio


attachment by clicking on the thumbnail

§ In subject questions a TEXT BOX will be
displayed where you type in short answers

§ You can write or draw your subjective answers on


paper answer sheet by clicking the “Click to take

1. When you click the “Click to take photo for Upload”


button, you will be shown a “Select Question”

SELECTING QUESTION

1. When you click the dropdown, you will be shown the


list of all subjective questions in your test.

2. You can choose the question from the list for which
you want to upload your answer

3. Here question 19 is selected.

TAKING PICTURE

1. Since question 19 was selected, the “Select Question”


field will display 19.

2. You can enter the name or description of the answer


(max 100 characters) you wish to upload for question 19

3. Then click “TAKE PICTURE”

1. When you click TAKE PICTURE button the camera is


activated

2. Adjust the image of the answer sheet you want to


upload properly in the camera frame and focus the
camera on the image to capture a clear image

3. Then Click to take photo

UPLOADING PICTURE

1. After clicking the photo it will be uploaded


automatically into DigiProctor and will be added to
your test

2. You will get a message “Image added to DigiProctor”

VIEWING UPLOADED IMAGES

1. After you have finished uploading your answer sheet


images for the question, you can VIEW and DELETE
them if necessary

2. Click the “IMAGE LIST” button

1. When you click the IMAGE LIST button, you will be


displayed a list of all the images that you have
uploaded for the question

2. You can VIEW the image by selecting the image


thumbnail and clicking “RETRIEVE IMAGES” button

3. You can DELETE the image by selecting the image,


and clicking the delete icon

RETURNING BACK TO TEST AFTER UPLOAD

1. After you have finished uploading your answer


sheet images for the question, click the “RETURN TO
TEST” button to continue with your test.
1. For example after you have finished uploading
images for question 19, you can click RETURN TO
TEST button
2. You will be taken to back you the test (screen shown
below)

o After you click the “RETURN TO TEST” button, you will


be taken to back you the test
o
3. Click “SUBMIT ANSWER” to move to the next
question.

MOBILE PROCTORING

1. When you are taking the test you are being continuously
proctored via your mobile camera.

2. Your face picture is being captured and checked via face


recognition to detect impersonation and other
unauthorized behaviour

3. If you place your mobile device faceup on the table or


away from your face, Digiproctor mobile test app will not
be able to detect your face.

4. If DigiProctor cannot detect your face it will sound 3 to 5


beeps to remind you to pick up the mobile and face the
camera at yourself.

5. You will then be asked to take your selfie to authenticate.

6. When you click OK, your camera will be activated for you
to take your snap.

1. After clicking OK, center your face within the camera


frame

2. Click “Click to take photo for upload” button

3. Your photo will be compared with your registered profile


photo. If they do not match, you will be asked to take
your photo again.

4. This process will be repeated 2 times.

5. If your face fails the face recognition test twice, you will
be EXITED out of the application.

1. At any time, you can see a summary of your test
progress – how many questions you have
attempted, skipped and marked for review.

1. When you have completed all answering all
questions, and wish to end the test click “END
TEST” button

2. You will be displayed an alert asking for your


confirmation to end test

3. If your click “YES”, your test will be ended.
