Data date

• the date that is utilized as the starting point

for the schedule calculations.
• Used to schedule all remaining works.

• During the planning phase the data date

should match the project start date.

1- click Tools tab and select schedule OR press F9.

2- Select the date you want, in planning phase must be the project start date.

3- Check in log to file to record the file on your computer.

4- click options tab and check in the option you want and close.

5- click Schedule to schedule, then go to the log file and open it.
Activity code
• It is another sorting for activities beside WBS.
• It is hierarchical arrangement for activities .
•enables you to classify and categorize
activities according to your organizational and
need.

Activity code type :-

1. Global : available to activities in all project.

2. Project : Available to activities only in the

project.

1- click Enterprise tab in the menu bar and select Activity code.

2- click modify to add new activity code category.

3- click add and put the name of activity code, then click close.

4- click add to add and use arrows to build the hierarchical
arrangement.

5- select the activity, click (Code) tab in activity details.

6- Click assign tab and choose the activity code you want.

7- Also you can assign the activity code for many activities by
using command bar.

8- use group & sort to display activities by activity code.
Filtering
• Determines which activities displayed in lay out
• Enables you to create customized lay out.
• Limit the number of the activity displayed
• Help you to focus on particular group of activities (critical activities,
completed activities, …. ETC)

There is two main concepts for applying more than

one filter.
