(a) The propeller of a ship has a radius of 4 ft. At full speed ahead, the propellers turn
150 revolutions per minute.
(i) Find the angular velocity in radians per minute at the tip of the blades.
(ii) What is the linear velocity in feet per minute at the tip of the blades?

(b) A Ford car has a single windshield wiper on the driver’s side. The total arm and
blade was 10-inch long and rotated back and forth through an angle of 95. The
shaded region in the following figure is the portion of the windshield cleaned by
the 7-inch wiper blade. What is the area of the region cleaned?
