1 Introduction
Here are a few points to get you started. You are not required to limit yourself to these, rather use them as a
guiding mechanism. Your write-up should provide a suitable background and motivation of the discussed topics.
You may briefly touch upon concepts explained in previous lectures for your narrative but be sure to include
references. Your writing should include all the concepts discussed during the week with proper justifications.
While writing, try to think how your scribe will fit in continuation with previous scribes so that by the end of
the course all the scribes put together to provide a coherency of a book. You should remember to write in such
a manner, such that even if someone misses a class he/she should be able to understand from these scribes.
Moreover, keep in mind to provide your insights and explanations for complex equations, highlighting all the
assumptions made. Think whether there were insightful questions and answers discussed during the lectures?
You are encouraged to provide suitable examples demonstrating the applications of discussed concepts and may
raise appropriate questions that give the reader an opportunity to reflect or think, in turn laying the groundwork
for future/next lectures.

2 Fourier Transforms
Some equations to display mathematical scripting:
Z∞
X(ω) = x(t)e−jωt dt (1)
−∞
F 1
e−αt u(t) ←→ , Re(α) > 0 (2)
α + jω

3 Figures
You may use the site http://www.draw.io for drawing high resolution figures. Simply export the drawn figures
as ‘pdf’ and include them here.

4 Citation
This line shows the use of references. Edit them in ‘refs.bib’ file [einstein]. Do provide them wherever needed.
