O Merciful God, You alone are good and true. We come before you this day to confess our
sins. You command us to love and serve others, yet we often live self focused, uncaring lives. You
command us to love you with all our heart, soul and might, yet we confess that we have idols and
false gods in our lives. Please forgive us and cleanse us from all our wicked ways. Fill our hearts
with a renewed love for you and others, so that we will walk in your light and glorify your holy
name. (Please continue in silent confession) In Jesus’ name we trust and pray. Amen.
