 Grinding wheels shall be covered with a solid


guard over that part of the circumference not
used for grinding, in order to protect personnel in
case of wheel breakage. Also an adjustable
guard shall be set over the unusable area of
wheel.
 Switch off the machine and remove plugs from
the socket before changing / adjusting / replacing
the grinding wheel.
 All machine controls, grinding edges, power
drives and wheel setting should be inspected
daily and at each new set up.
 Use of suitable PPE - Helmet, safety boots,
safety goggles, gloves, ear plug / muff, aprons as
required.

possibility of throw of wheel.

be used for grinding purposes.
