Why Join Us? Working in the IT department as a member of the Desktop Services team you are
directly supporting all of the City’s various departments with your efforts.  Specifically, the Desktop
team is responsible for engineering, managing, deploying, and supporting client endpoints used
throughout the City. Supported endpoints include desktops, laptops, printers, tablets and smart
phones. Supported Operating Systems include Windows, MAC OS, iOS and Android.

 
What We’re Looking For:  The IT Solutions Desktop Services team is currently seeking a
responsible, self-driven individual with strong technical skills and exceptional customer service
skills.  This is a Monday through Friday position - full time exempt.  Scheduled work hours are
8:00am to 5:00pm, but schedules may vary.

The ideal candidate will fulfill the following requirements:

 A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field.


 Must have a valid Texas driver’s license.
 Must be able to pass a CJIS, nationwide fingerprint background check.

Preferred experience:

 At least 2 years’ experience in a desktop support role.


 Strong problem-solving skills.
 Strong knowledge of current Windows Operating Systems (7, 8.1, and 10).
 Experience supporting mobile devices (iPad, Android, Tablets).
 Knowledge of VDI.
 Knowledge of desktop imaging, and Windows support/troubleshooting tools.
 Knowledge of patch management, application packaging and deployment and client
reporting in an enterprise environment.
 Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, and client-side connectivity troubleshooting.
 Experience supporting current Microsoft Office Suite (2013, 2016, Office 365).

The Impact You’ll Have:  This position is responsible for resolving issues and fulfilling requests of
an endpoint nature for City of Fort Worth Staff, which directly impacts their ability to provide
outstanding service and support to our citizens. The successful candidate will work both individually,
and as a team in order to meet goals and objectives. In this role you will be exposed to a wide range
of technology, which will give you a good foundation for performance based advancement. The
position reports to the IT Solutions Desktop Services Manager.
