bus recovered
At 0246 hours Wednesday morning,
an unidentified male walked into The
Florentine Senior Residence through the
front entrance, used a tool to gain access
into the main lobby where he stole the
keys to The Florentine’s bus and took off.
Merritt RCMP put out a call for the
public’s assistance, and later that day
Burnaby RCMP recovered the bus. They
are completing their investigation.

ic development, small business survival,
fighting climate change, health care ac-

digenous issues. I can best do that as an
Independent who is free from the strict
control of political parties.
As the representative of Fraser-Nicola
I would be a strong voice in Victoria on
these issues. I will try to attract new busi-
ness that is sustainable, with good-pay-
ing jobs to the area.
I would advocate for the following
services: 1. The replacement of the “Old
Spences Bridge” that was torn down by
the BC Liberals. 2. An Urgent Care centre
for Ashcroft so that people can have ac-
cess to emergency care locally. 3. For our
two remaining forestry facilities in Lil-
looet and Merritt to have a consistent and
steady flow of timber to keep them op-
erating through a provincial agreement
for the supply timber from our region to
remain within Fraser-Nicola.
The funding from all these would
come from within the existing budget of
the BC Government by eliminating bu-
reaucratic waste.
