"L" (left hand) in its cavity.

6.1.2. Screw the M16 screw of a turn in each

nut "L".

6.1.3. repeat this operation for

the two other sectors.

CAUTION : NOT TO TOUCH THE

MICROCAPSULAGE WITH THE
HANDS (RISK OF POLLUTION).

The capsuled micro part (threading of orange

color) of the screw is screwed in the nut "L".

Nut on the left not identified by the letter "L".

6.2. Move away the side of the tire, vis a vis

the valve with a hook.

- The tire must be placed on the higher part of

the rim.

- Caution, don’t move overy to much with the

hook (*) on the side of tire.
- The spacing must be 340 mm, sufficient for the
introduction of the sectors.

(*) : From which surfaces are protected by bands rubber.

6.3. introduce a sector into the tire.

And to position the nut "R" in its cavity.

CREATION LE 10/12/03 REFERENCE : PDM 78 INDICE B DU 20/02/04

11/21

6.4. Introduce the second sector

into the tire with the nut "R"
positioned in its cavity.

6.5. Pre – assemble the two

sectors by screwing the M16
screw in some threads.

6.6. Introduce the third sector

into the tire with the nut "R"
positioned in its cavity.

6.7. Place the sectors on the

rim.

CREATION LE 10/12/03 REFERENCE : PDM 78 INDICE B DU 20/02/04

12/21

6.8. Remove the hook.

6.9. Move away the side of the

tire with the bead spreader.

- Maximum spacing of the tire

70 mm.

6.10. Pre – assemble the third

sectors by screwing the M16
screw in some threads.

6.11. Center the junction

fastening device that is
centered on the valve.

6.12. Assemble the M16

screws by tightening with the
pipe fitter key ratchet.

CREATION LE 10/12/03 REFERENCE : PDM 78 INDICE B DU 20/02/04

13/21

6.13. Introduce the 3 hooks of the

chain (cayenne).

6.14. Remove the bead spreader.

6.15. Move away the side of the

tire with the hooks (cayenne).

6.16. continue to screw the screws

M 16 to bring the spacing between
each sector to 33 mm then to 31
mm.

6.17. Use the regulating padlock to

inspect the spacing beetwen the
sectors.

6.18. Inspect the M 16 screw

tightening torque with the
dynamometric spanner, the value
must be 50 Nm.

CREATION LE 10/12/03 REFERENCE : PDM 78 INDICE B DU 20/02/04

14/21

CAUTION :

Visually inspect and with a

measuring tape if necessary
that extremities of M16 screw
have been bolted after the
tightening junctions.

6.19. Coat uniformly with the

paste gel recommended by
HUTCHINSON, (1600 gr) on the
internal surface of the tire tread.

6.20. Remove the hooks of the tire.

6.21. Unlock the rim on the

mounting support.

6.22. Position the wheel on the

machine, lock it.

CREATION LE 10/12/03 REFERENCE : PDM 78 INDICE B DU 20/02/04

15/21

6.23. Pass the second tire bead

with the finger of the machine.
This operation is made easy by
applying TIGRE grease.

6.24. Wipe the grease with a clean

rag after passing tire bead.

6.25. Inflate the tire at the

acceptable maximum pressure
in order to veneer the tire bead.
Put back the valve insert.

The wheel can be in from now on

Inflated to its service pressure.

6.26. Unlock and remove the wheel

on the machine.

rim. Use the lever (*) to star this operation.
ram,
- Deposit TIGRE grease on the tire bead in order
to facilitate its passing.

(*) : Lever with removed arrises (angles round).

NOTE : Operations 7.2 and 7.3 are to be

carried out delicately not to deteriorate
the CRF, for that to at least limit the
pressure for the separation of the bead
of the tire.

7.3. Unstick the tire bead from the rim.

7.4. Remove the wheel on the machine.

- Deposit TIGRE grease on the tire bead in

order to facilitate its passing.

7.5. Position the wheel on the

over the tire bead.

7.9. Balance the tire opener

out and move the sidewall
away.

7.10. Heat with thermic tournapull, the left

nut (L) for 5 mn at 200 °C. Tilt the end of the
tournapull nozzle to located at roughly
20 mm of the nut.

- The hot air blown by the gun should not in no

case to come into contact with inner of the
enveloppe from the separation of the bead of the
tire.

7.11. Loosen with the

key of 24 mm the screw
fastener M16.

loosening of the screw.

NOTE : The screw is free when

the spacing between sector is 6
cm.

7.15. Repeat these operations for

the two other junctions.

7.16. Position the wheel

and lock it on the machine
dismounts tire.

7.17. Coat soapy water the

bead of the tire.

7.18. Release to the

maximum the bead of the

- Capsuled micro part of orange

color (not on the left).

CAUTION : At the time of each operation of dismantling / mounting of the

safety device CRF, the screws must imperatively be changed.
- Not to deposit a foreign body (grease, oil, freezing...) on the
microcapsulée part of orange color (see photo above) screws.

- Not to touch the microcapsulage with the hands (risk of pollution).

8.2. Storage of the screws before use.

- Temperature : between + 5 °C et + 50 °C (+41 °F à + 120 °F).

- Guarantee period of joining: 1 year.

- Can be used for one 4 years period if storage in a dry place and at the
prescribed temperatures.

- Marking example : 12.03 (Décember 2003) corresponds to the date of application

of the microcapsulage.

8.3. Remark.

- At the time of the assembly of the CRF, it is normal to have a resistance at the time
of the screwing of the bolts, this resistance comes from friction related to the
microcapsulage.
