FlexSightTM LS2000 Line-of-Sight Infrared Gas Detector

The FlexSight LS2000 Line-of-Sight Infrared Gas Detection System (Spec Sheet: 90-1215) is a
stainless steel, IR beam-type hydrocarbon gas detection system. The system consists of two modules
(transmitter and receiver) offering:

• Eagle Quantum Premier model

• Industry Leading Misalignment Tolerance: ±0.8 degrees
(~±56cm @ 40m; ~±168cm @ 120m). Patented design.
• Compliance to ISA-12.13.04 performance standard
• Third party certified for Methane (default). Factory calibrated to Methane, Propane, and Butane
• Performance certified to EN60079-29-4
• -55°C to +75°C certified temperature range
• Compliance to FM6325 and ISA-12.13.04 performance standards
• Certified SIL 2 capable
• Module separation distance range from 5-120 meters
• IR source: High performance, long lasting xenon flashlamp - 10 year warranty on IR source
• 5 year detector warranty
• Standard 4-20 mA output (configurable), HART communications (on receiver), RS485 Modbus
• Optional alarm relays (Ex d only)
• Easy Install / Alignment
- Mounting / alignment hardware included with both modules
- Built-in locking adjusters deliver fine control of alignment angles
- Telescope alignment tool for accurate alignment
- No HART or Software Interrogation tool needed
• Use of ‘Smart’ monitoring and control: maintains device temperature, heater obscuration triggers, drift
/ beam block tolerance, power supply and 4-20 mA monitoring, event logging, power consumption
management
• Non-intrusive zero calibration options: on-board magnetic switch, HART communication, external
switch, or MODBUS communication
• DNV Maritime approval
• Globally certified including SIL, FM, CSA, ATEX, IECEx, CE, DNV, INMETRO, and CUTR / KIM approvals
• Optional communication link provides: dynamic lamp power adjustments, synchronized LEDs, remote
