Saint Theresa College is one of a well-known Catholics school in Tandag which promotes
academic and spiritual education to students. It is relevant to a school to have a vision, mission and
goals in order to the publicly know what is the purpose of education and how students should learn in
a certain school. Vision, mission and goals are strategic documents produced by many organizations-
including schools- to indicate the purpose, priorities and objective of the organization. A vision
statement, or simply a vision, is a public declaration that schools or other educational organizations
use to describe their high level goals for the future, what they hope to achieve if they successfully
fulfill their organizational purpose or mission. A vision statement may describe a school’s loftiest
ideals, it core organizational values, its long-term objectives, or what it hopes its students will learn or
be capable of doing after graduating. The vision of Saint Theresa College of Tandag says that it is a
Catholic School that is versatile in different aspects of human or students. It means that STC Tandag
is open to all students even there is differences in religion or culture, STC wholeheartedly accept
every kind of students and give them academic and spiritual education. A mission statement, or
simply a mission, is also a public declaration that schools use to describe their founding purpose and
major organizational commitments, example is what they do and why they do it? A mission statement
may describe a school’s day-to-day operational objectives, its instructional values, or its public
commitments to its students and community. Saint Theresa of Tandag has a mission is to give both
academic and spiritual education to students through resourceful and productive way. They uses the
skill of a teacher and students to find, understand, and act for the development of being a human.
Means that STC is not just for academic purposes but it also it gives you widen understanding in how
you are as a human or student. A goal are the statements that describe the competences, skills and
attributes that a students should possess upon completion of a course or program. They often
operate within the interacting domains of knowledge, skills and attitudes. The goal of STC is to give,
guide, and build students in their academic and spiritual aspects of life. By doing that STC utilize
some curriculum so that a specific guide to students will give properly, they give instructions on how
to have a broader knowledge about the culture and community and also they become a role model to
students to have courage and to be a responsible leader.

In my three years being a student of Saint Theresa College I am very aware of the vision,
mission and goals of my schools because I have also a vision, mission and goals of being a students.
And I observe STC teachers, staff and heads do their best to follow, accommodate and reach their
vision, mission and goals as a school organizations. It is important to have that vision, mission and
goals not only for organization but also to yourself because without that just like a school if you don’t
have a proper goals, guides and plans your life will be in cruel and you will never be ever to reach
what you wanted in life.
