1. What makes the lumad of Mindanao unique from other indigenous tribes in the
country?
It makes unique from other indigenous tribes because they have goal and objective for
their community. They express their goal for the community. And also, Lumad of Mindanao
is unique because they want to govern their own community. They want self-governance just
like how the Philippines wants it during the American Colonization. Their objectives are to
achieved self-governance for which their law will be customized and based to their culture.
So, to conclude, Lumad of Mindanao is unique because they are determined to lift up their
group at the same time preserved their culture connecting to their law that they created. And
also as I research they are the only tribes had the express goal in the past.
2. Why is there a need of preserving the culture, values and traditions of the lumads?
Because it represents their identity as an ethnic group. And also, it represents the origin. It is
needed to preserve also for the future generations.  It keeps integrity to the group. And it is also
important so that we can protect or prevent the indigenous people from extinction.
3. Why are the Museums important in understanding history?
Because the main function of museum is to collect, preserve, researching and displaying
objects from the past. Museum is important in understanding the history because the source or
the information that you’ve asked about history can museum provide. It is a great source and
place if someone wants deeper understanding about history. Museum can provide historical
information that you are looking for. Like historical documents, artifacts, historical objects
and etc. It provides precise collections to interpret our different histories.
4. Why it is said that Museums represent the "pieces of the past"?
Because collections of historical objects, documents, artifacts and etc. that the historian
gets, is display in a museum. It was like a memory in the past that are being display.
Everything that considered historical might be in the museum.
5. What are some of your observations about the Museums in the country?

Honestly, have not been to any museum. We have a lot of museum now but the national
museum was more on the historical. But based on the picture, the historical things are well
taken care of. They continue improving the museum, if I’m not mistaken there is a new
museum recently and it is also part of the national museum if I’m not mistaken.
 I think in this generation is the better way to convince and make people visit the museum is
take a good shot or an instragamable shpt of the thing that you can see inside the museum.
Aand post to different social media accounts. In that way many people will appreciate how
beautiful and classic the national museum is, Because in my observation we now its more we
are turning back to the past, many of us are engage with the classic style.
