Project Title: Design and Implementation of Small Office Network for Techzone

Overview: in this specific project, it is all about building a small office network for TechZone

Pvt Ltd. It basically starts with a foundation of switches and routers. This helps us to

understand the difference between switches and routers and helps develop a clear vision for

what your network foundation needs. When building a small office network, there are

essential pieces that are necessary. Although they look similar, these two devices perform

different functions in a network. A small network is often more susceptible to viruses and

spyware than larger networks. So managing these risks is just as important as having high

quality routing systems and hardware. The use of switches helps connect multiple devices, it

also enables connected devices to share information. Thus building a small office network

isn’t possible without switches to tie devices together. Routers are useful too, they help tie

multiple networks together. So when creating a small office network, you’ll need one or more

routers because it connects networked computers to the Internet and enables all connected

computers to share one single Internet connection. It also acts as a dispatcher that chooses the

best route for your information to travel. It also connects this specific business to the world

that protects information from security threats, and it is impossible to decide which

computers gets priority over others. When building a small office network, it’s important to

determine the best foundation for your company’s needs. There are possible ways to get

started. They are as follows:

 Investing in business –grade switches and routers for reliable communications

 Investing in a network that can grow over time, so you can add features and
functionalities when needed
 Making sure the switches and routers are easy to install, use and manage
 Making sure the network is designed with reliability and redundancy in mind
Aim and Objectives:

 Is to provide products that operate right out of the box, by delivering reliable, secure
connectivity for users with the most basic understanding of computer networking
 Our aim is to design and build the best network for these organizations, with the
highest degree of functionality at the lowest reasonable cost
 The design of a small network must be simple, yet functional, secure and scalable,
therefore the network must easily expand with it.
 As the scale of the initial environment is small, avoid making technology decisions
that might limit the company as it expands
