ABSTRACT:

The technical and the commercial scope involved in developing and implementing the project
“Matrimonial Website” can be discussed using this abstract. This project aims at creating a full-
fledged website for Matrimony. It basically involves viewing the details of the bride or
bridegroom .

INTRODUCTION:

India has a long tradition of arranged marriage, in which parents or extended family
help pick a spouse for eligible children. With the advent of Internet in India, Internet
entrepreneurs founded matrimonial services. The focus is on choices of the user rather
than personality-based matching criteria. These sites are used by parents, as well as by
prospective brides and grooms. JUSTWEDDINGS.com is one such site that targets the
urban, educated middle class in large cities and towns.

As finding a partner is a deeply personal and significant decision with long-lasting

repercussions, users are often forthright in stating their preferences regarding their
desired partner, and are unlikely to hide any deeply held cultural or sociological biases
in order to be perceived as being politically correct. Further, these sites have fields for
sensitive personal attributes such as religion. 

1.1 PROBLEM STATEMENT:

To design and develop a MATRIMONIAL SITE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM that

keeps track of users registered, logging in, creating profile, looking for and matching up
to make easy to find perfect partners by scheduling a meeting.

1.2 OBJECTIVES:

Matrimonial site which provides a platform to Bride/Groom for finding perfect match.
There are different sectors like Registration, Login, etc. Bride/Groom can directly
search Partner according to their required criteria to get matches. The purposes of the
Matrimonial Web site are:
 The main purpose of this site is to facilitate matchmaking business by applying the
information in the field.
 It helps the user by providing profiles of perspective “Bride” and “Groom” and other
information regarding them online.
 User can get information regarding their dream life partner at his/her home at his/her
convenience.

 Since internet is a pivot for modern business, our project which is based on internet
paves a path for modernization in trade.

This document describes the software requirements and specification about Matrimonial
Site Management System.

1.3 SCOPE OF PROJECT:

The purpose of the MSMS is to ease Matrimonial Management and to create a

convenient and easy-to-use site for users, trying to look for prospective life partners.
The system is based on a relational database. We will have a database supporting major
cities. Above all, we hope to provide a comfortable user experience.
