LA PARTICIPACIÓN DEL ADULTO MAYOR EN EL PROGRAMA DE

PROMOCIÓN DE LA SALUD Y SU RELACIÓN CON LA ACCESIBILIDAD QUE
TIENEN AL PROGRAMA DE SALUD EN EL CENTRO DE MEDICINA
INTEGRAL DE LA UNIVERSIDAD DE CARABOBO.

RESUMEN
El envejecer es un proceso complejo y fascinante que experimentan todos los seres
humanos. El presente estudio esta enmarcado en la línea de atención integral al Adulto
Mayor en la comunidad. Se trata de un estudio de tipo descriptivo correlacional. Realizado
con el objetivo de determinar la relación entre la participación del Adulto Mayor al
Programa Promoción de la Salud en su Factor Conocimiento, Asistencia y Utilidad con la
Accesibilidad de los Gerontes al Programa de Salud en sus Factores Geográficos y
Económicos, que asisten al Centro de Medicina Integral de la Universidad de Carabobo en
la zona sur de Valencia, parroquia Miguel Peña Edo. Carabobo. La población objeto de
estudio, estuvo conformada por los adultos mayores que asisten al Centro de Salud. Y para
la muestra fue tomada el 50% representada por 50 sujetos; a los cuales se les aplicó un
instrumento tipo encuesta estructurada en dos partes: la primera parte contiene datos
sociodemográficos y la segunda contiene 30 ítems referidos a las variables de estudio. La
confiabilidad del instrumento se logra aplicando a los elementos de la prueba piloto una
prueba de test-retest, de la que se obtuvo como resultado un coeficiente de confiabilidad de
0,93 (Pearson) con una significación menor del 5%. El análisis de los datos se hizo
mediante el porcentaje de frecuencia absoluta y relativa. Los resultados confirmaron que
hubo relación estadísticamente significativa entre las variables Participación del Adulto
Mayor en el Programa de Promoción de la Salud y su relación con la accesibilidad que
tienen al Programa de Salud. Igualmente hubo relación estadísticamente significativa entre
los factores de ambas variables.

 SUMMARY
Aging is a complex and fascinating process that all the human beings experience the
present study is framed in the line of integral attention to the biggest adult in the
community. It is a study of type descriptive correlacional. Carried out with the objective o
determining the relationship among the participation from the biggest adult to the program
promotion of the health in their factor knowledge, attendance and utility with the
accessibility from the managers to the program of health in their geographical and
economic factors that attend the center of integral medicine of the university of Carabobo in
the south area of Valencia, parish Miguel Peña Carabobo. The population study object, it
was conformed by the biggest adults that attend the center of health and for the sample 50%
represented by 50 subject to which were applied an instrument type was taken it interviews
structured in two parts: the first part contains dates partner-demographic and the second
contain 30 articles referred to the variable study. The dependability of the instrument is
achieved applying to the test pilot’s elements to test-retest test, of which was obtained to
coefficient of dependability of 0,93 ace to result (Pearson) with to significance smaller than
5%. The analysis of the dates was made by means of the percentage of absolute and relative
frequency. The results confirmed that there was relationship statistically significant among
the biggest adult’s variable participation in the program of promotion of the health and their
relationship with the accessibility that to the program of health. Equally there was
relationship statistically significant among the factors of variable both.
