A Friday Drizzle
Cheryl Jansa took a rainy-day stroll in downtown
Glasgow on Friday afternoon. The third of an inch of
rain brought October’s total to a tad over a half an inch
which is about normal for the date. October’s average is
three quarters of an inch, so it’s looking good that we’ll
make that mark. The bad news is that it is expected
to come in the form of freezing rain, sleet and snow
tonight with a 30% chance of snow on Tuesday night
and possible accumulations on Wednesday. Enjoy
the “heat wave” on Tuesday (high of around 40° is
expected, normal average high for the date is 56°) as
the remainder of the week is unseasonably COLD!

Snow will spread east this afternoon and tonight
and will be mixed with sleet, freezing rain, and rain at
times through tonight.
Temerature-wise, Circle took the grand prize at
around 6:00 this morning with a low temperature of 9°.
Poplar was at 10°. Meanwhile, over in the west, Dillon
was at 50°. Yesterday Great Falls received 8.4 inches of
snow which set a new record for the date of October
18th. That was piled on to a record 4.9 inches they got on
Saturday! The Electric City has 14.2 inches for the month
of October with two weeks left to go.
Tonight: Snow and freezing rain before 3am, then a slight
chance of freezing rain between 3am and 4am. Low around
25. East southeast wind 7 to 14 mph becoming north after
midnight. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph. Chance of
precipitation is 80%. Little or no ice accumulation expected.
New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
Tuesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 40. West northwest

Glasgow hosted Wolf Point Friday night for what
was a warm-up for their final game of the season,
knocking the Wolves off 48-6 (48-0 at halftime).
Meanwhile, Fairfield was in Malta for an
extremely physical game. Fairfield took a 14-0 lead
with about seven minutes left in the third quarter
on an 85-yard touchdown.
The Mustangs scored making it 14-6 with about
four minutes left in the game and actually had one
more chance on offense, but an unsportsmanlike
penalty basically handed the ball back to the Eagles
who were able to run out the clock.

title and #1 playoff seed with a win over Glasgow
this Friday night.
• Malta clinches the 2 seed and runner-up in
the conference with a win over Cut Bank and a
Glasgow loss in Fairfield.
• If Glasgow defeats Fairfield by 11 or more they
move to the 2nd playoff seed and Fairfield drops
down to the 3 seed. Malta would take the 1 seed.

• A Glasgow victory over Fairfield by 3 or more
points, but less than 11, moves Malta to the top
seed, Fairfield to the 2 seed, and Glasgow 3rd.
