Previous Knowledge : Pupils know the basic numbers ( one to ten )

Learning outcomes : By the end of lesson,student will be able to:

i. Name and write numbers from 1 to 20

ii. Determine the place value of the digits in any whole number 1 to 20
iii. Compare value of numbers 1 to 20
iv. sing a song on numbers and clap the rhythmic melody of the song

Values incalculated : Leadership, teamwork, concentration, focus, hard-working.

Music concept : Rhythmic melody

What I get from this subject is know how to use melody pattern in order to make sure the song become interesting. I also
know how to differentiate between “tekanan”,”detik” and “irama”. Before this I think the music is simple and can be done
by every people, but when I go through this subject, I see many things that I don’t know and need to learn more in order to
understand what music is and how to use music in our daily life to make it more interesting.

When I was given a task to prepare this coursework, I face a problem to understand the concept of rhythmic melody an
how to compose a song. Beside that, I also have a problem to integrating such body percussions with other members in
group and to sing the song in Anak Ayam melody.

The problems in preparing the song and the activity become easy when my group met with Ms. Bulbir kaur and got some
explanation from her. In musical activity, continuous exercises with members in group make the activity run smoothly and
successfully.

From the above activity, I have learned many positive attitudes such as cooperation, commitment and patient in order to
ensure the activity were carried out as plan. At that time, I was realize how hard to understand music subject and it will be
interesting if we have good knowledge in music. It has a lot of fun learning and will be great if we can apply music concept
in teaching math and in daily live.

Sebelum ini saya lansung tidak memahami mengenai apa itu muzik dan peranannya didalam proses pengajaran.
Setelah mempelajari subjek ini,saya mula memahami peranan muzik didalam pembelajaran. Muzik dapat menarik minat
murid untuk belajar dan mudah mengingati subjek yang berkaitan.
Saya juga telah mempelajari tentang konsep muzik yang betul. Terima kasih saya ucapkan kerana mengajar kami semua
dan bersabar dengan sikap kami semua.

At first, I don’t have any ideas about music subject for KPLI course. But, after the lecturer gave me explanations about
music and its purpose in teaching and learning, I’m slowly understood. Lecturer guides me to understand how to integrate
music as a set induction in teaching and learning. Now I feel more confident how to integrate music in teaching and
learning in a proper ways.
