Step‐‐4: Add Maintenance Identity Group
Step
Go to ProvisioningÆ ETH Function SettingÆETH OAM SettingÆOAM MEGÆ Add MEG
Example for setting: put
9MEG INDEX = 1 [if there is no any previous index otherwise put 2 or 3 etc ]
9MEG INDEX = 1 [if there is no any previous index otherwise put 2 or 3 etc.]
9MEG ID = test [any word, keep in mind that far‐end must be same word]
9MEG LEVEL =7 [any value 1~7, keep in mind that far‐end must be same value]
9ETH CC =3.3ms

Example for setting: put
9MEP INDEX = 1 [if there is no any previous index otherwise put 2 or 3 etc.]
9MEP ID = 03 [any number, keep in mind that far‐end Peer MEP ID must be same]
9CCM Priority =7 [any value 1~7, keep in mind that far‐end must be same value]
9ITEM =MODEM1 [Item Must be modem1 as we check only modem‐modem Ethernet
performance]
9Port = Port01

9CCM Transmit and CCM Receive= Enable
Add MEP Configuration, put “Peer MEP ID = far‐end MEP ID” and check on “Peer List check

Note: After completion the test, it is

recommended to remove MEG, MEP, VLAN
port type and VLAN ID[CCM Transmit and
CCM Receive need to disable first for remove

Step 09: ETH port performance checking
ETHERNET Port Performance TEST‐ it is required to assign IP address
in two PC as given example
Step‐1: Assign IP address on near‐end PC (not Mandatory could be
assign any valid IP)
IP address: 10.10.10.10
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 10.10.10.11(Opposite End IP address)
Step‐2: Assign IP address on far‐end PC (not Mandatory could be
assign any valid IP)
IP address: 10.10.10.11
Subnet mask: 255 255 255 0
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 10.10.10.10(Opposite End IP address)
Then try to ping the far‐end PC, if it replies then IP assignment and
connectivity is OK.
Step‐3: How to ping‐in your PC go to
p p g y g
StartÆRunÆ write “CMD”ÆOK
Ping 10.10.10.11 –t
Pinging 10.10.10.11 with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 10.10.10.11: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=64
R l f
Reply from 10.10.10.11: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=64

After few minutes
Press CTRL+C for stop checking
Then see the following example result
