1 Introduction
This installation document aims to guide a T24 User (Bank Administrator / IT User / T24
Implementation/ etc.) through the necessary steps to set-up the Windows 32 bit local lost
version of the Model Bank Reference System. The document covers installation and set-up
for:

Term Explanation
*.zip
A data compression and archive format. Contains 1 or more files that have been
compressed to reduce file size
.bat A batch file is a text file containing a series of commands intended to be executed
by the command interpreter
Mbremote.cmd An executable file which is inside bnk.run to start the t24 in classic mode.
1.2 Pre-requisites

2 Admin Rights to set-up Environment in either Desktop E.g. to set up new Windows User
(Local host) in Desktop
4 Hardware Details
Disk Space = 80 GB or above
Processing Power (RAM) = 1 GB or above
2 Installation Steps
PRE-REQUISITE: None
ACTION: Make sure you have in un-zipped/un-compressed form at all these files
mentioned in Section:
1.3 Contents of this Package
NOTES: It is recommended that folder deployment files e.g. Model Bank Folder is kept in
the root directory e.g. C Drive
ACTION: To start and use Computer Management on the local computer: Click Start,
and then click Control Panel. Click Performance and Maintenance, click
Administrative Tools, and then double-click Computer Management.
The Computer Management window for the local computer is displayed. "Computer
Management (Local)" is displayed at the root of the console tree.

ACTION: Expand Local Users and Groups. Click on Users. In the right window you
will see a list of the current users on the server.

ACTION: Right-click the username e.g. 201012 and select Properties. In the Profile
Tab, enter Local Path. The path where bnk.run file folder is situated in the set-up files.
Click Apply and OK.

NOTES: Local Path: Location of the File Folder bnk.run. This will be located within the
Temenos\bnk File Folder
e.g: C\Temenos\ModelBank-201012PB\Temenos\bnk\bnk.run
PRE-REQUISITE: You have created a Windows User as per Step 2 e.g. 201012
OBJECTIVE: This step sets the environmental variables for the Agents to run.
Step 2.3(a)
ACTION: Open a Telnet session using e.g. Tera Term or Putty. Log into localhost or
127.0.0.1.

Step 2.3(b)
ACTION: Log in with newly created User in Step 2 e.g. 201012. Enter password. You
will notice, you will be taken to the local path directory of this User.
There are total 6 individual Agents (*.bat) files. These bat files can be started one by
one. Or we can trigger a single file “start_agents.bat”.
ACTION: Click start_agents.bat to run. This will start 6 agents / 6 windows. Check for
JBOSS Window display.

demonstration in the 201012 release of Model Bank. This contains pre-configured
Users and Customers, which can be used for Pre-Sales Demo.

Start the jboss and jbase agent for browser and ARCIB Browser and Perform file
upload or secure document download process using T24 ARC-IB/ Browser.

4 Miscellaneous
4.1 Trouble-shooters
(1.1) Not able to log into Localhost ( Remedy 1 )
(a) Check your Telnet Server is running in your Desktop / Laptop ( Task Manager > Services Tab )
If not able to see it here , it needs to be started manually from Services ( below button ) or go to
Computer Management > Services & Applications
(b) Check your jBase Telnet Server is running in your Desktop / Laptop ( Task Manager > Services
Tab )
If not able to see it here , it needs to be started manually from Services ( below button ) or go to
Computer Management > Services & Applications
This option is useful, when your Windows Telnet Server is not running / You need to pre-install a
jBase Server
(2) Not sure whether Telnet Server / TCP-IP Services are running ( additional way / Windows DOS )
If the above is not returning satisfactory, then you will not be able to do Step-3 onwards.
(3) To confirm if the jboss is running can confirm by typing the link
Check http://localhost:9095/
If the jboss is running and still cannot login because of the following error, then need to start the respective
agent in the respective putty or tera terms.
