Welcome to the English – Grade 2 Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM) Module
on Antonyms and Synonyms!
This module was collaboratively designed, developed and reviewed by
educators both from public and private institutions to assist you, the teacher or
facilitator in helping the learners meet the standards set by the K to 12
Curriculum while overcoming their personal, social, and economic constraints
in schooling.
This learning resource hopes to engage the learners into guided and independent
learning activities at their own pace and time. Furthermore, this also aims to
help learners acquire the needed 21st century skills while taking into
consideration their needs and circumstances.

What I Have Learned

It is important to know and recognize what is the antonyms and synonyms of every
describing words.

Synonyms are words with same meaning or words that are similar, or have a related
meaning, to another word. They can be lifesavers when you want to avoid repeating the
same word over and over. Also sometimes the word you have in mind might not be the most
appropriate word, which is why finding the right synonym can come in handy.

Antonyms are words with opposite meaning or words that contrasting meanings.
