ON-LINE LIBRARY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Objective

This project is an Intranet based application that can be accessed throughout the
campus. This system can be used to search for books/magazines, reserve books, find out who
is having a particular book, put in requests to buy a new book etc. This is one integrated
system that contains both the user component and the librarian component

Existing System

• It can manual system to maintain library

• Maintaining of books records difficult.
• Maintaining reserved book details are difficult.
• Assigning books to students are crises the problem.

Proposed System

The development of this new system contains the following activities, which try to
automate the entire process keeping in the view of database integration approach.

• Automates information related to all books, magazines.

• This system automates the information belongs to authors, faculty, students.
• Providing security.
• Maintaining data base for all above include reservations of books.

Modules Description

1. General Information and Users Registration Modules:

In this module a general user get the available books information , journals details and
registration details, services details, about us ,contact us details.

2. Students Module:

In this module we menssion the student details by register process and check available
books, search books and student change his profiles details.

3. Books Module:

The book module is deal by administrator who has to capable to introduce new books
,magazines etc,..modify book details.

 4. Reservation Modules:

This reservation module contain make request for reserve the book details and that books
are reserved by which student at what time ,status of books availability.

5. Report Module:

It is involved by getting information of list of available books, list of reserved books, list of
students, authors, publisher.

6. Security Module:

This module contain the information of user (administrator, faculty, author,……) authentication
details.
