Or: "How I Learned To Stop Being A Cuck And Organize The Nintendo
Leak"
Intro:
tl;dr: Nintendo's Chinese subsidiary, iQue, which handled Chinese distribution of their older
games in the early 2000s was hacked. A goldmine of old Nintendo data was retrieved by some
dude who got arrested and this gigaleak is just a portion of that hack finally being released and
looked through.(The pastebin goes into more detail over what some individual leaks have
contained thus far.)
If you use this doc, be sure to give your regards and complaints to Uncle Cucko. I'll be lurking,
so if you keep telling me to fix/add something, I eventually will. This is being done on phone,
so give me a fucking break. You can also email me if I'm not on and there's a big find. All
filepaths are listed as N/A until I can find some verifiable sources that share them. Save all
videos, photos, audio, etc. Have a base day, lads.

Confirmed/Basically Confirmed
L is Real
Filepath: bbgames/depot/sm64/shape/Player/Luigi
Description: He is real. Luigi's textures and some files relating to his model were discovered
and then put back together. The above is the finished product of efforts to recreate Luigi as he
appeared in early builds of SM64. This confirms Miyamoto's claims of an early prototype build
of SM64 with two players.(There are also textures that confirm this.)
Additional: CuckyDev's video showcasing a reimplemented Luigi model:

Beta/Test Levels
Filepath: N/A
Description: Two levels have been found in the leak that were in much earlier builds of M64.
Marionova64 has videos showcasing S tage 1 and 3 being played.(His other content is
creepypasta level shit and videos that show off a fanmade beta recreation. Ignore those. They
aren't involved with the leak; it's just Stage 1 and 3.)
Filepath: N/A
Description: A bevy of old sprites and textures from earlier builds of Mario 64, including some
that were shown off in some Spaceworld 95 footage.
Unused Animations
Filepath: N/A
Filename: windemoAold
Description: Mario dances and then does the victory animation used in the release version.

Description: Self-explanatory.
Filepath: N/A
Description: Early SF64 logos that went unused.
Yoshi's Island
Filepath: N/A
Description: Official map editing software for Yoshi's Island.
Unused/Prototype Sprites
Filepath: N/A
Description: A bunch of test and unused sprites for YI, including a test ball and Yoshi on skis.
Ocarina of Time
Beta Enemies
Filepath: bbgames/depot/z_ocarina/?
Description: Cut enemies from OoT including a Stalfos, some weird untextured enemy, an
Octorok, and a Wallmaster.(Images coming when I find them)
Beta Kokiri Forest
Filepath: N/A
Description: The texture for a building in the early Zelda 64 version of Castle Town. Also, a
cracked wall texture that hasn't been seen before. As of July 29, 2020, the only textures
related to Castle Town found in the leak.
F-Zero X
Filepath: N/A
Description: A couple of early world map designs including a broken version of the beta world
map.
Unused/Prototype Sprites

Additional:
Filepath: N/A
Description: Absolutely fucking wild. Explicit sprites found in SMW files including nude
Kawauso and Luigi flipping you off.
SF1 Prototype
Filepath: N/A
Description: From what it seems, it's either a different character (but same rank) or alternative
design for Pepper.
Filepath: N/A
Description: This portrait suggests that an unused collie breed Dog character was planned to
be in the game as part of the good side in Star Fox 2, it’s role is unknown and seems to be
scrapped early on.
Filepath: OTHER/NEWS/NEWS/テープリストア
/NEWS_05/NEWS_05/home/watanabe/AAFundoshi/sf2-3/
Description: There is evidence that a unnamed T-rex villain was going to be in Star Fox 2, he
has graphics and there is a model of a T-rex body and legs that likely relates to the unused
T-rex character suggesting that could be either be a mech or a form (just like Andross). This
seems to be the most interesting of all unused SF2 characters.
Filepath: N/A
Description: The human woman character was found within the data ofese(?) devs confirmed
that they do know about this character at all. The image on the left is a speculative
reconstruction rather than a palette restoration, thus the palette mismatch between it and the
rest of the portraits of the character.
Unused Sprites
Filepath: N/A
Description: Character select screen portrait sprites including unused characters.
It also appears that at some point during the development Andross was going to be a playable
character given there being two sprites for him.
Filepath: N/A
Description: Additional character select screen sprites including Fox, Andross, Falco, Peppy,
and the cut woman. There is zero significance to Fox and the female being together, as they
were simply placed together by the anon who posted the sprites.
Filepath: N/A
Description: It is unknown what these sprites are used for exactly but, the most likely reason
would be them being displayed if one of them got shot down or something
Filepath: N/A
Description: Character call sprites including the original fey and human female character
A Link to the Past
Super Donkey(Unreleased Prototype)
Playable Versions
Filepath: ther\SFC\ソースデータ\ヨッシーアイランド\ツール\donkey_test
Description: Two newly found playable prototypes of an early game using assets and an art
style that would later be used for Yoshi's Island. May be the original SNES Donkey Kong
project Miyamoto was working on before the inception of DKC.

of Mozart's Eine Klein Nachtmusik.

Prototype Builds
Filepath: N/A
Description: Prototype builds of SMK were found in the files. Only one has been made playable
so far.(To my knowledge.)
Additional: SKELUX’s f ull playthrough of the working build.
Hamtaro 2
Filepath: N/A
Description: Roms of Hamtaro: Ham-Hams Unite! (or Tottoko Hamutaro 2: Hamu-chanzu
Daishuugou Dechu in Japanese hence why the heading said that) were found in the files, (in
my knowledge) there is a debug rom of the game.
Wario Land 4
Unused/Cut Villager
Filepath: N/A
Description: An unused villager that was at some level of completion before being removed
from the game.(Called Catty in the screenshot, though this may be an unofficial name.)
Filepath: bbgames\d1\routefree\bbgames\depot\marioAGB\graphic_data\srdcad
Description: In the source files for Super Mario Advance, an exe called SCad.exe appears to be
Nintendo’s internal spriting software dating back to at least 1999. It can open proprietary
sprite files from the SNES, Gameboy, Gameboy Color and Gameboy Advance.
The program has tools for drawing and manipulating sprites and palettes, as well as an
animation viewer.
The program is entirely in Japanese, but a /ppg/ member by the name of theo3 successfully
managed to do an E NGLISH TRANSLATION. The directory also has detailed documentation on
the filetypes, which again is all in Japanese, but it’s rudimentary enough that Google does an
acceptable job of translating it.
Filepath: N/A
Description: Unused Link sprites for an unknown project. Could've been for an early Zelda 3 or
some sort of Zelda 2 remake, maybe in the vein of the Satellaview Zelda games. There is a
strong possibility that it only existed for a Zelda 2 tech demo on the SNES, similar to early
ports of SMB3 that built the groundwork for SMW.
Early BSTLoZ Sprites
Filepath: N/A
Description: More sprites of Link, but also including some 16-bit versions of Zelda 1 sprites.
Currently believed to be early assets for the Satellaview remake of Zelda 1.
Hit the Ice(Unreleased NES Hockey RPG)
Filepath: N/A
Description: A finished build of Hit the Ice. Based on the information from this series of tweets
we know that the game passed lot check and was submitted and approved in March, 1993.
Argonaut emails

Wario Land 4
Filepath: N/A
Description: Scrapped race track from Mario Kart 64. Erroneously assumed to be Castle Town
from Ocarina of Time.
Super Mario 64
Filepath: N/A
Description: Possibly scrapped enemy from SM64 named Moto in the files. Not a lot of
corroboration yet, so the actual validity of this enemy is still up in the air.

Unused Music
Description: it was originally thought Wario Land 4 had an unused version of the tutorial music
but with lyrics, as it turns out that's just the theme of the game's bad ending. It was in a folder
labeled "no_use" tho so it may still have some stuff about it that's not final
