Cumber to serve
the great U.S.A.
By Mike Brandt
Most high school
seniors are thinking about
college and what they are
going to major in. But one
Glasgow High School senior
will be preparing to serve
this great nation.
Colter Cumber has
been a member of the
Glasgow cross country team
since he was a sophomore.
So he decided with all of
this running he’d join the
United States Marines after
her graduates next summer.
Cumber played football
his freshman year, but
was talked into going out
for cross country the next
season. He liked it and has
enjoyed running with his
teammates.
Cumber ran in his final
high school race Friday at the
57th Annual MHSA Cross
Country Championship at
Rebecca Farm in Kalispell.

Donald Trump does not make any promises or claims on
his campaign website, other than “Make America Great
Again.” He lists only what he has already accomplished
and none of what he hopes to accomplish in the future,
should he be reelected.
Many political scientists have conducted studies in
the US and around the world that found politicians keep
or partially keep roughly ⅔ of their promises. Election
Day is just one week away, and your decisions will have
long-lasting repercussions. Educate yourself before
voting, but not by reading opinion and commentary
articles or watching biased media outlets. Search for
reliable news sources and factual information supported
by multiple platforms. A true democracy requires all
people to participate in electing official representatives.
You must base your decisions on political promises and
have faith that they will keep those promises.
~ Sharla Schmidt
P.S. I do not know which Presidential debate Nick
Chiechi watched and wrote about in the Oct. 23 Issue
of the BS Buzz, but it definitely was not the same debate
I heard and saw. Biden explained his stance on multiple
political issues, while Trump did some of the same.
Neither described their policies in detail and much
of the debate was pointing fingers and passing blame.
Again, look for bias in reporting, find reliable sources,
and base your opinions on factual evidence, not other
people’s questionable interpretation of such facts.
