Job Description

Local Committee Vice-President Communication

The Local Committee Vice President Communication (LCVPC) plays a strategic


leadership role in creating the sustainability and relevance of Local Committee’s
AIESEC brand by managing brand communication locally. The LCVPC’s
responsibility is to contribute to the LC goals through work within both internal and
external communications. LCVPC works closely with the MCVP Comunication.

Local strategic direction


• Fully participating in all EB meetings, LC meetings and retreats by providing input to
other functional areas based on personal expertise and experience
• Implement & track continuous communication plan of LC activities
• Aligning LC’s communication strategies and direction with AIESEC Sweden
• Preparing and executing Transition Process and succession

Recruitment
• Recruitment promotion
• Communication plan in co-operation with VPTM
• Creation of the branding strategy for the LC
• Creation of marketing materials as posters, flyers, banners, etc.
• AIESEC presence in students’ magazines
• On-campus campaigns management and implementation
• University relations (in cooperation with VP ER)
• Coordination and promotion of activities promoting AIESEC to students (workshops,
external speakers)

Brand management
• Brand education to members and EB
• Brand audit after every recruitment
• Ensuring external and internal materials are brand aligned
• Assuring local media coverage

Internal communication
• Internal newsletters
• Promotion materials for AIESEC national and international conferences

Events management
• Ensuring AIESEC is present in events that are relevant for AIESEC core activities
• Maintain necessary contacts in order to promote AIESEC events (university
administration, student unions)

Web pages & social media management


• Regular updates of webpage, Facebook page, Twitter account
• Promotion activities for recruitment via social media
• Design and content management

Media relations
• Media appearances
• Preparation of articles

AIESEC in Sweden National Team 2010-2011 LEAD beyond LIMITS


• Media partners management
• PR plan creation and delivery
• Press releases writing
• Plan and coordinate media relationships

MyAIESEC.net management
• Education in LC (introduction and follow up)
• Making sure all materials are accessible in the LC wiki

LC and AIESEC Sweden representation


• Communication with National Team of AIESEC Sweden
• Contributing to international discussions
• Gaining understanding and applying national strategy
• Mandatory attendance of all national conferences
• Represent local committee at WeGrow

Measure of success
• Number of brand-aligned media appearances
• Absolute and relative growth of brand-aligned media appearences
• Number of long-term communication partners
• Webpage is 100% done and its content is refreshed every month
• Every project has product sheet, company materials
• Member and EP recruitment is successfully conducted in synergy
