2) Type in the functional location being created:

Important Notes:
1) Functional locations must follow the format AAAA-XXX-XXX-XXX-XXX-XXX-XXX. The first
level (AAAA) is all alpha-characters. These 4 characters are assigned at the global level. The
first two letters are the business area, and the second two letters are the plant code. All other
levels are three characters, alpha or numeric.
2) There is a maximum of 7 levels available, but all levels are not required. Only create as many
levels as requested by planners for effective maintenance planning and reporting.
3) Contact your BU TDB Contact to insure that you follow any business unit standards.
4) There are very few required fields in the FL record. Only fill in additional fields if they will be
used for searching, sorting or reporting.

3) Fill in the structure indicator (PGNA1 or PG1, depending on your SAP client).

5) Enter the description .


6) On the Location tab, fill in the plant code.

7) On the Organization tab, fill in the cost center, maintenance planner group, and
maintenance work center.
