Sunshine

By: John Paul P. Mula

I have been living with the deepest night

Too cold, deafening silence and pitch dark

Seeking alone for the aureate light

On a silhouette-filled slapdash park.

As morning came, the radiant sun is out

It is the first touch of tepid sunshine

Thou my fragile soul begun to stout

So, this must be the most awaited sign.

Sunshine’s fiery heat envelop thy heart

A fondness that makes all people strife

In every streak of ray is like an art

The one which gives color into my life

You’re the sunshine that took my night away.

Light
By: John Paul P. Mula

People sees you as a plain white light

My eyes are prisms, you are a rainbow

You give colors in my black and white life

Make darkness dissipates with the shadow.

You came from a place neither near or far

But still belong in my simple world

Though no one knows exactly where you are

Staying in my heart you are so bold.

After a busy day is a long night

This must be the last time to let you know

You may not that bright but blinded my sight

You may full of flaws, but don’t need to glow

For me to see and notice the real you.
