Las opiniones de los profesores sobre temas CTS son similares a las de los
estudiantes, tal como han señalado algunos autores (Brunkhorst, 1987; Fle-
ming, 1990).
Por tanto, una de las primeras acciones a emprender en su formación es
ayudar a los profesores a conocer sus propias creencias y valores acerca del
enfoque CTS y la enseñanza de las ciencias, para más tarde intentar transfor-
marlas adecuadamente (Aikenhead, 1984; Mitchener y Anderson, 1989; Rubba,
1989, 1991),
Han sido señaladas otras acciones a desarrollar para ayudar a los profe-
sores en su formación (Spector, 1986), tales como:

al menos en dos niveles y que aquellos temas que parecen haber penetrado en
todos los niveles son por orden relativo: uso de la energía, conservación de los
recursos naturales, nutrición, salud de la pobladón, contaminación, y tecno-
logía y medios de comunicación.
