WHAT IS ANGER MANAGEMENT?

Assalamualaikum and good morning to our lecturer, Sir Jastu and all my
classmates. Today, I am going to give a speech on title what is anger management.
Have you guys ever heard this statement by Dr Buddy Rydell in Anger Management
movie – “Temper's the one thing you can't get rid of, by losing it.” Anger is powerful
feeling. Anger is completely normal and even healthy emotion. It is an emotional
state varies in intensity from mild irritation to intense fury and rage. It happens when
you are annoyed, hurt, frustrated or disappointed. Perhaps! It can lead to problems
when it gets out of control.
Now, let’s move on to our main topic which is anger management. Anger
management is a set of guidelines that are designed to help people control their
anger. There are a few plan should be considered to control your anger. Is everyone
is ready to get your anger under control?
First and foremost, you have to recognize warning signs. In the heat of the
moment, I know it is difficult to stop it in tracks. Anger causes a physical reaction in
the body. Therefore, some people may feel their anger hit in an instant. Perhaps you
go from calm to furious in a heartbeat. Early recognizing them will help you take
action to keep your anger from hitting a boiling point. When you recognizing your
warning signs, you can prevent yourself from doing or saying things which lead to
bigger problem.
Next, you have to step away from the arguments. I know when people are
involve in an argument, they are trying to win and sticking it out in a unhealthy
situation. When a conversation or situation gets heated, take a break or stay silence.
Explain that you're not trying to dodge uncomfortable topics when you need to step
away, but that you're working on controlling your temper. Remember, silence does
not mean that you are lost. Actually, you are the real winner as you can fight with
your own anger. That is the biggest victory!
Last but not least, you have to manage your thoughts. Angry thoughts add
fuel to your anger. Thinking things like, “I can’t stand it. She is going to win and ruin
everything!” will increase your frustration. When you find yourself thinking in negative
way, reframe your thoughts. You might talk to yourself something that can drown out
the anger repeatedly. For instance, “I’m okay. I have done my best, that’s more
important”. Thus, the way you think on something is significance and don’t
overthinking!
To conclude, anger can be good or bad depends on the way we handle them.
As the saying goes, controlling anger before it controls you. Managing your anger
doesn’t mean never getting angry. Instead, it involves how to express your anger in
healthy way.
WAYS TO MAINTAIN A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE
Intro:
- Having a healthy lifestyle is all about choosing to live your life in the most healthy
way possible
- Living a healthy lifestyle promotes good health and a longer life expectancy by
incorporating behaviors that improve health into a person’s lifestyle while avoiding
behaviors that are harmful to health.
- a few ways to maintain a healthy lifestyle

1. Eat a balanced diet


- using food pyramid as guidelines
- contain the different classes of foods such as proteins, fats, vitamins,
carbohydrates and minerals
- consume more vegetables and fruits
- intake of salt, fat, sugar, oil, caffeine and carbonated drink must be reduced

2. Exercise regularly
- find a sport like badminton or netball
- reduce stress – greatly affect how we look
- 30 minutes every day keeps us fit and cheerful

3. water is vital for our healthy


- eg: drinking water after exercise helps us to replace fluids lost during physical
activity to ensure we stay hydrated
- although human can survive for weeks without food, without water we would die in
a matter of days
- almost all body’s chemical reaction occur in a watery medium
- most important

Conclusion:
- having healthy life is your own decision
- whether you want to spend your money for treatments or for convenient
- as the saying goes, health is wealth but wealth should not mean health
