 To keep of update profile of every student design to give information that will aid them

self-realization.

2. FOCAL INFORMATION AND DATA GATHERING SERVICES

Focal information intended to assist individuals, of any age and at any point throughout
theirs lives,
To make educational trainings and career choices and to manage their career,
It has now become more common for school counselors to collect data, to develop an
accurate and efficient system to track the day to day activities. Because school
counselors have access to all the available quantitative and qualitative data from the
school and other sources.

3. PERSONAL-SOCIAL DATA

 This has to do with how one can improve oneself or how one can improve one’s
relationship with others.
 Like: Building Self- Confidence - handling anger
 Overcoming Shyness - Stress Management
 Proper Etiqutte - Healing Painful Memories

6. ANECDOTAL REPORTS/ ANECDOTAL RECORDS

 Anecdotal Records Is an observation that is written like a short story. They are
descriptions of incidents or events that are important to the person observing.
 A record 0f some significant items of conduct
 A record of an episode in the life of students – a word picture of the students in action, a
word of snapshot at the moment of incident, any narration of events in which may be
significant about his personality.
 This should contain a factual descriptions of what happened, when it happened, and
under what circumstances the behavior occurred
7. RATING SCALES / OBSERVATION CHECKLISTS
 Rating Scales can help to evaluate the quality of the behavior of one student, or many
students
 It also measure the degree to which a student exhibits a specified behavior

Rating is applied to expression of opinion or judgement regarding some situation, object


or character

7. AUTOBIOGRAPHY

 An account of person’s life or history of a person’s life written by that person


 Self-written account of the life oneself.
 The purpose of an autobiography is to give you a first-hand account into the life of the
person you are reading about, and give you a better insight into how their experiences
have shaped them as a person.

8. DIARIES AND DAILY SCHEDULES

 A book in which one keeps a daily record/schedules of events and experiences


 It is a place where you record events, experiences and other personal things that
interest you.
You can write about whatever you like, free of outside judgement or criticism. It should
be an extension of your mind safe and free.

9. TESTING

 Simply put, a test refers to a tool, technique or a method that is intended to measure
students knowledge or their ability to complete a particular task.
 Test should meet some basic requirements such as validity and reliability
Validity refers to the extent to which a test measures what it is supposed to measure
Reliability refers to the consistency of test scores when administered on different
occasions.

There are different types of test:

Placement tests – it is designed to help educators place a student into a particular level
or section of a language curriculum or school
Diagnostic tests – they help teachers and learners to identify strengths and weaknesses
Proficiency tests – they measure a learner’s level of language
Achievement tests – they are intended to measure the skills and knowledge learned
after some kind of instruction.
