Chemical Injection System

System Description (Typical):

Hydraulically actuated Diaphragms Pumps are supplied for each package which operate as duty and
stand-by as per customer requirement and Provided P&ID. The dosing pump will be driven by
constant speed electric motor. The Pump will have a automatic Stroke controller for the
adjustument of the stroke through electronic signal.

Pressure Indicator is provided at Pump discharge line for local monitoring of system presure,
Pulsation Dampener, Pressure Safety Valve and check Valve are provided at the discharge section
of the Pump. The dosing pump discharge will be routed to respective injection points by client from
skid Tie-in point. The relief valve valve discharge will beprovided as a seperate tie in Point.

Major Bill of Materials

Skid Base Frame / drip tray

The Chemical Injection System will be delivered on a common carbon steel frame require pipe
supports and other accesories. The Base frame will be painted to Customer Specification and final
color shade shall be specified by client.
Design: The pumps will be mounted on the skid frame with easy operation access to accessories,
pumps, valves, gauges etc.
If required by cutomer specifcations skid will be provided with gratings and Chequred plate for
operation & maintenance

Strainer

A "Y-strainer" will be installed in the suction line of each pump head to protect the pumps for dirt
in the chemical. The Filter mesh in the strainer shall be provided with 40 mesh. The MOC of the
Strainer Shall be as per Piping specification

Ball Valves

All valves in the flow lines are Ball valves as per P&ID requirement.All ball valves shall be Lever
operated bi dierctional floating ball valves
The MOC of the ball valves are according to Piping specifications
Mfg: Client AVL
CPVC Valves: GF/UNP poly vlaves
Metallic Valves: MICON/ Client AVL

Piping/and fittings

Seamsless Pipes with Plain ends will be used for Fabrication of the Pipng. The Moc of the Pipig
shall be CPVC/CS/SS as per Project Specifications. Design & Dimensions of Flanges & Fittings
shall be used for fabrication as per Project Specifications and Piping class requirements.
MOC of Flanges & Fittings shall be CPVC/CS/SS as per Project Specifications and piping Class.
Pipe Fitting Mfg: Client AVL

Painting

The painting shall be as per Customer Painting Specification for tank/Piping and skid base frame.
The Fianl DFT of the painting shall be as per Project requirements
The Painting Specifications with RAL code shall be provided along with PO.

Earthing and bonding

Earth Bosses will be provided in opposite corner of the skid frame.

The panel/Motors and instruments(if any) shall be connected to earth bus bar located in skid edge.

QUALITY CONTROL.

Quality planning, execution and certification shall be done by in-house QC personnel and final
quality documents shall be submitted to you along with other commercial documents.
VSPL will carry out the necessary Quality Control inspections, including inspection of raw
materials, in-house fabrication and fabricated components, bought-out components, measurements,
procedures and documentation in order to have Client/Third Party approval.

Deliverable Documents and Drawings for items specified in BOM:

1. Piping and instrumentation drawing.

2. General arrangement drawing.
3. Skid foundation layout drawings.
4. Datasheets for equipment’s and instruments
5. Utility requirements list.
6. Catalogue data.
7. Quality control procedures.
8. Hydrostatic test procedures.
9. Welding book
10. Surface Preparation and Painting Procedure.
11. Inspection and Testing Plan
12. Material Certificates.
13. Hydrostatic test certificate for piping.
14. Factory Acceptance Test report.

Exclusions:

 Plug Valves, Pumps, Motors, Pulsation dampeners, Electrical & Instrumentation ítems Like
Pressure gauge, Pressure transmitters, PSV, LPBS, Junction Boxes and cables
 Signal & Power Supply, Panel/Cable for Electronic stroke Controller.
 Tanks/Mixers/Motor/Control Panels and any other ítems execlusively not mentioned in the
scope of the Work
 Cabling between the Junction boxes &Transmitters, Stroke Controllers, VFDs Motors etc.
 Installation and commissioning of skid.

 Supervision for Skid Installation and Commissioning.

 Site acceptance test.
 Any outside skid battery limit.

 Skid Canopy/Roofing
 Any other items that was not specified in this proposal
