PURPOSE
-------
Wake On LAN Ex (WoLEX) is an application designed to be used
with computers that contain network cards which are set to
turn on when a "magic packet" is received.
Running Wake On LAN Ex, entering the required details, and
hitting Send will cause the WOL-enabled computer to turn
itself on and boot as normal. Depending on its WoL abilities,
the destination computer can be sleeping, hibernating, or
entirely off and still be able to react to a Wake-On-LAN
event.
WoLEX also supports the shutting down, restarting,
logging-off, and sending messages to other computers.
Although there are slight cosmetic issues with running
WoLEX, it is entirely useable. WoLEX doesn't seem to start
in MacOS; the reason is yet undetermined.

REMOTE COMMANDS
---------------
If you find that the Restart, Log-off, and Shutdown commands
aren't working on other PCs, then please ensure that:
1) Your account credentials (that is, username and password)
on your PC match the account of the remote machine.
2) Your PC and the remote PC are in the same Domain or
Workgroup.
If your credentials are the same on both computers, try
accessing a shared folder on the remote machine before
attempting to control it and see if that works.

PORTABLE MODE
-------------
The portable mode allows WoLEX to be used on a portable drive
correctly. When portable mode is enabled, all configuration
data will be saved to the directory that WoLEX resides in.
Disabling portable mode will cause WoLEX to revert back to
its original mode of saving configuration data to the user's
Windows profile location.
WoLEX determines if it should be running in portable mode
by the presence of a Settings.xml file within its current
application directory. If it exists, then portable mode is
enabled.
You can either click on the hard-drive icon in the main
window's toolbar to enable portable mode, or you can do
it manually by copying all of the files contained within
the WoLEX Windows profile directory to the WoLEX application
directory.

UPGRADING
---------
To upgrade your current installation to a newer version,
simply delete the program's directory and extract the new
version's archive to a location of your choice.

REMOVING
--------
To remove this software from your system, just quit the
application and delete its directory.

TROUBLE-SHOOTING
----------------
If you get an error when you start the program, you will
need to download the Microsoft .NET runtimes package (22MB).
