Recount adalah teks yang menceritakan kejadian atau pengalaman di masa lampauÀ Tujuan
dari teks recount secara umum adalah untuk menghibur layaknya narrative, namun recount
memiliki fokus menceritakan kejadian masa lampau apa adanyaÀ Sering kali penulis
memberikan kesan atau pendapatnya terhadap kejadian yang diceritakanÀ Perbedaan utama
teks ini dengan teks narrative adalah tidak adanya komplikasi masalah atau konflik yang
dialami oleh tokoh dalam teks recountÀ


 
  



 


MrÀ Richard¶s family was on vacationÀ They are MrÀ and MrsÀ Richard with two sonsÀ They
went to LondonÀ They saw their travel agent and booked their ticketsÀ They went to the
British Embassy to get visas to enter BritainÀ They had booked fourteen days tourÀ This
includes travel and accommodationÀ They also included tours around London

They boarded a large Boeing flightÀ The flight was nearly fourteen hoursÀ On the plane the
cabin crews were very friendlyÀ They gave them news paper and magazine to readÀ They gave
them food and drinkÀ There was a film for their entertainmentÀ They had a very pleasant
flightÀ They slept part of the wayÀ

On arrival at Heathrow Airport, they had to go to Customs and ImmigrationÀ The officers
were pleasantÀ They checked the document carefully but their manners were very politeÀ MrÀ
Richard and his family collected their bags and went to London Welcome DeskÀ They
arranged the transfer to a hotelÀ

The hotel was a well-known four-star hotelÀ The room had perfect view of the parkÀ The room
had its own bathroom and toiletÀ Instead of keys for the room, they inserted a key-card to
open the doorÀ On the third floor, there was a restaurant serving Asian and European foodÀ
They had variety of foodÀ
The two week in London went by fastÀ At the end of the 14-day, they were quite tired but
they felt very happyÀ

On Friday we went to the Blue MountainsÀ We stayed at David and Della¶s houseÀ It has a big
garden with lots of colourful flowers and a tennis courtÀ

On Saturday we saw the Three Sisters and went on the scenic railwayÀ It was scaryÀ Then,
Mummy and I went shopping with DellaÀ We went to some antique shops and I tried on some
old hatsÀ

On Sunday we went on the Scenic Skyway and it rockedÀ We saw cockatoos having a
showerÀ In the afternoon we went homeÀ
