I. General Questions
Please complete your answers briefly or shortly with a few sentences (or a few lines) to the
following questions:
1. According to Resolution of 2003/16 (adopted by the UN Sub-Commission on the Promotion
and Protection of Human Rights) defined the TNCs as follows: The term “transnational
corporation" refers to an economic entity operating in more than one country or a cluster of
economic entities operating in two or more countries – whatever their legal form, whether in
their home country or country of activity”.
Is the TNC is a National Company /Enterprise, NGO, IOs or IGO? (Please categorize this type
of international entity according to the term/definition above? May you differentiate between
TNC and other types of IOs?
2. How do states apply for membership of an International Organization (IGO)? (Take an
example for UN membership or any other IGO at your preference). What are the difference
between State Membership and State Representation at any IGO? What is United Nations and
what is United Nations System? Explain.
II. Thematic Questions (short description)
Describe the importance and challenges of multilateralism under the framework of the United
Nations in the maintenance of International Peace and Security. How do you think about the
right of Veto at the United Nations Security Council (UNSC)? How can you explain?
