The regular meeting of the Taylor City Council will be held on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 in

the Taylor Municipal Building at 23555 Goddard, Taylor, MI to begin promptly at 7:00 p.m.

6) Motion to approve the first reading of an ordinance adopting and enacting a new
code for the City of Taylor, Michigan; providing for the repeal of certain
ordinances not included therein; providing a penalty for the violation thereof;
providing for the manner of amending such code; and proving when such code and this
ordinance shall become effective.
7) Motion to receive and file request from Moslem Shriners to hold their Annual
Hospital Fund Drive on June 16 -17, 2011.
8) Motion to approve a five year extension between the City of Taylor and Historic
Weddings Inc. for the West Mound Church property in Heritage Park.
9) Motion to approve expenditures from March 1, 2011 thru February 29, 2012 for
shavings from JP McCrumb, low bid, in an amount not to exceed $8,000.
10) Motion to approve new rates for Lakes of Taylor Golf Club and Taylor Meadows Golf
Club for the 2011 golf season.
11) Motion to approve amendment to CCR #6.399-10 for the purchase of asphalt products
for the Department of Public Works from Ajax Material Corp. and Barrett Paving,
sole bidders, for an additional $50,000 of authority for a new amount not to exceed
$70,000 through June 30, 2011.
12) Motion to approve the end lease option to purchase #311CU Excavator, from Michigan
Cat/Caterpillar Financial for an amount not to exceed $47,280.
13) Motion to approve the purchase of a Towmaster T40 Trailer, Towmaster T12 Trailer
and Heavy Duty Landscape Trailer, for the Water & Sewer Department, from Bridgeport
Equipment Co., low bidder, for an amount not to exceed $32,090.

 14) Motion to approve payment to Taylor Ford, low bid, to purchase one (1) 2011 Ford
Explorer, for a cost not to exceed $27,905, with funds coming from State Forfeiture
Capital Outlay.
15) Motion to approve payment to Shaykhet Training, L.L.C., for defensive tactics
training for the Taylor Police Department, for a cost not to exceed $14,000.
16) Motion to approve sending two (2) Taylor Police Command Officers to Eastern
Michigan University School of Police Staff and Command, February 16, 2011 through
October 21, 2011, for a cost not to exceed $2,400.
17) Motion to approve an amendment to the 2010 Streetlighting Special Assessment roll,
in the amount of $23,216.32, by removing the special assessment from parcels listed
on Exhibit A (various parcels owned by the City of Taylor).
18) Motion to approve Centron Data Services for the printing and mailing of the 2011
Assessment Change Notices in an amount not to exceed $11,500.
19) Motion to approve payment of legal bills, in an amount not to exceed $2,796.90, as
