Service Note: Replacement of high-pass filter board and its power supply
modification
CyFlow® Counter II (CY-S-3022)

All procedures described in this service note should only be performed by authorized and trained technicians.

Scope: This service note is restricted to all CyFlow® Counter devices equipped with old version of
Photomultiplier Tube (PMT) connectors (see Fig. 1).

1. Turn off the CyFlow® Counter.

2. Disconnect all PMT cables at the upper part of the device.

3. Disconnect high-pass filter board from controller board (see Fig. 2).

4. Remove all old PMT connectors carefully (see Fig. 3).

5. Insert all new sockets in predefined order (see Fig 4).

6. Connect all high-pass filter cables in correct colour coded order (see Fig. 5).

Note: Do not connect the power supply cable without the supplied adapter (see Fig. 6).

7. Connect the supplied adapter to the high-pass filter power supply cable (see Fig. 7+8) and the
high-pass filter board (see Fig.9).

8. Connect all PMT cables in appropriate order at the upper part of the device.

9. Turn on the CyFlow® Counter, perform an offset calculation as described in the “CyFlow® Counter
Instrument Service Manual” and check the device.
