15 Minutes to Taubat

One day after school, ITMA member are having chats in the mosque. There is someone who recites
Quran, pray zuhur, study mathematic, and there are also take a rest below the mosque fan. Those are
the daily activities in the Abubakar Islamic Junior High School mosque. There are always full of
people who search for reward and ridha from Allah SWT.

Yusuf : Assalamualaikum

Ikhwan : Walaikum salaam..

Ali : Suf, what’s wrong with your face? You look like angry. Are you haven’t eat sahoor this
morning?

Yusuf : No.. I do not fasting. I felt dejected, very dejected. There is someone annoying.. aaarrrgghh..

Qori : husss.. Please istighfar Suf!!! What’s going on?

Yusuf : There is a new student in my class. He is very arrogant. He calls me “clown”, then when I ask
him to pray dzuhur, he felt angry. He was also smoking in the classroom. Can you imagine that? He is
very annoying.

Omen : Astaghfirullah.. He is very execrable. Who is his name? He doesn’t know who I am.

Arif : What the hell are you? Who you are? Does he have to know you?

Omen : I don’t mean that, but. . . .

Firzie   :Assalamua’alaikum…

Ikhwan    :Wa’alaikum salam…

Firzie : eh, did you know? All of you must be didn’t believe of what I saw. There is an unfamiliar
student wearing SMP IT uniform and he smokes in front of vice chief master’s room. When I greet
him, he felt angry, he also denounced me. Besides that, he denounces some students that want to go to
mosque. He said “for what they pray? I am a Muslim but I never pray since I was born”.

Ikhwan       :Astaghfirullah…

Yusuf : His skin is white, right? Then he has pointed nose, tall, curly hair, untidy uniform, and he
wear red shoes?

Firzie : Right. You know him? Who is he?

Omen : He is a new student in Yusuf Class, His name is . . . . Who is his name Suf?

Yusuf : His name is Excel, he is from Jakarta. We are also talking about him.

Guna : Astaghfirullah.. It was not good to gossip other people. Su’udzan, it is a sin!!
Ali : We do not su’udzan, this is fact!!

Guna : But it is ghibah, so it is not good..

Ardian : Hey.. Stop it, why we talk about someone who we haven’t known? Better if we go home,
there is mathematic exam tomorrow.

The Next morning, as usual, many of students studies and have dhuha prayer in the mosque. It is
because today there is mathematic exam.

Firzie : hey what’s up, are you ready for mathematic exam?

Ardian : Alhamdulillah, we are ready, because last Friday we have been taught by our mentor, right?

Guna : That is the benefit of joining ITMA, besides we study about religion, we also can studying
about other subject. Many of ITMA alumni that have been graduated still share their knowledge to us.
They are also easy going with us.

Arif : hmm, yaaa yaaa.

Firzie : Eh..eh, look that! He is the student that we discuss yesterday. Why he goes to mosque? Let’s
come closer to him..

Ali : it seems not necessary we go there, for what?

Firzie : as a muslim, we must have good attitude to others.

Firzie : Assalamualaikum, are you new student here? I am Firzie..

Excel : Excel, you are the student I have met yesterday, right? Eh.. I am sorry for my attitude to you
yesterday.

Firzie : No problem.. Let’s come in. I will show you to our friends!

Excel : Are all of your friends like you?

Firzie : What do you mean?

Excel : yaaa… like you.. Every day in the mosque. There are no other activities except praying and
reciting Qur’an. Besides that you talk with the word “antum-antum”.. It was boring, you know??

Firzie : Oftentimes, appearance can deceive. How about if we come in, we are boring or not?

Excel : Whatever!!!

Firzie and Excel come into the mosque

Firzie : Assalamualaikum guys, This is Excel, He is a new student here.

Excel : Hey, What are you doing?

Ali : We have study mathematic.

Excel : This day you still study mathematic?? Boring!!

Ali : We are students, we have to study, right?

Excel : Eh, all of you are ITMA member? What the hell is benefit to be ITMA member? Every day
only reciting Qur’an and Praying, uncreative extracurricular you know?? Boring!!!

Guna : Astaghfirullah.. It seems you have false perception about ITMA. ITMA is not just an exkul,
but it is the organization in this school. The members of ITMA are all of SMP IT students, include
you, and we are the ITMA organizer. This organization have a goal as main coordinating of Islamic
activities in SMP IT, besides that, ITMA also has a function as the adviser of others activities in SMP
IT.

Ardian : In ITMA, we have many activities, not only reciting Qur’an and praying. There is a
mentoring that be held in every week after jum’at prayer, and then every month we have the other
activities such as rujak party, book review, and some activities that can increase the knowledge.

Firzi :Above of all those activities, ITMA has a function as a media to built the leadership personality,
dynamic, and Islamic.

Arif : and of course all of those activity we did in a comfort way for students like us. Stylist but still
Islamic.

Excel :Oh,..ok, like that? It seems interesting.

Ali :so, join with ITMA.

Guna : very pleasant!!

Ardian : oke, on Jumat, you can join in our mentoring agenda! After jum’at prayer.

Excel :Okay.

(Kriiiiiiing, kriiiingg.., the bell is ringing)

Arif : the bell is ringing, let’s come into class!

(masuk kelas)

Jumat is coming. After Jumat prayer, the mosque is full of the students that following mentoring
agenda. Today, mentor is lead by SMP IT ITMA alumnus.

Ali : sstt.. Where is excel?

Firzie : I don’t know.. Where is Excel, Suf?

Yusuf :Meneketehe! What’s going on?

Firzie : Yesterday he said that he wants to join this mentoring. Doesn’t he have Jumat prayer?

Yusuf : The person like him is praying? Unbelieveable!!

Mentor : Ehem..!

Firzie & Yusuf :hehe.. Sorry.. (salah tingkah)

Guna : (finished reciting Quran) Sadaqallah..

Mentor : Alhamdulillah.. May Allah gives reward for person who recite and listen it. Amin..

Excel : Assalamualaikum

Ikhwan : Wa’alaikum salaam..

Firzie : Excel, come here! Ka’ this is Excel, new student in SMP IT. May he join with us?

Mentor : Subhanallah, of course, please sit down, let’s begin the mentoring today. Wanna directly
into material or anyone want to request material may be?

Omen : How about if Excel introducing himself first?

Mentor : Oh yaa, please..

Excel : Hmm, My name is Excel, My full name is Vladimir Excel Antonio. I am from Jakarta.

Mentor : What is your motivation to join ITMA?

Excel : without any serious purpose, just be anxious with story of SMP IT students about ITMA.

Mentor : okay.. Our material today is about. . . . . . .

Mentoring is begin, Excel, new student who have not serious purpose became interested about the
material. The mentoring agenda is about 3 hours, long enough time for Excell until he opens his heart.

Mentor :It is enough for our mentoring today, we close this meeting with reciting hamdalah together.

Ikhwan         :Alhamdulilllah…

Mentor : Okay thank you for the meeting today.

Ardian : you are welcome, next week we continue again.

Mentor         :Insya Allah, Assalamu’alaikum..

Ikhwan         :Wa’alaikum salam..

Firzie : Hey sel, How do you feel about mentoring today? Is it boring?

Excel : Wow, I don’t believe that rohis is very interesting. I am conscious that all of my perception
about ITMA is false. And, astaghfirullah.. My sin is very much. I am afraid that Allah will not forgive
me. (Crying)

Guna : Subhanallah, today Allah gives you a guidance.

Arif :Just slow down, according to the word of Allah the Al-Furqan verses 70-71 which read: "Allah
is Forgiving and Merciful. And those who repent by doing good deeds, then, actually he is repent to
Allah with a real repentance. "So, you do not be afraid if your sins are not forgiven by Allah.

Excel : But, how can I do?

Firzie : You don’t worry about that, we will help you Insya Allah.

Yusuf : We are muslim, so we have to help each other. Slow down..

Excel : Thanks guys..! I don’t know what I will be without all of you. (Other students sympathy)

Omen :it is ashar prayer time, let’s go to pray, we can continue later.

Finally, Excel joined with ITMA. Although at first time he was a little bit difficult to adapt, but he
never gave up. The other rohis members are also help and accept Excel. 2 months passed, excel
transformed into a better boy.

Excel : (reciting Al-Qur’an, all cast in)

Firzie          :Assalamu’alaikum…

Excel          :Sadaqallahul adzim, wa’alaikum salam.

Guna : Ciee… you already diligent to recite Al-qur’an?

Excel : Yes of course, my personality now is different than before.

Yusuf : How come??

Excel : (berjalan ke penonton), Join ITMA!
