Introduction
This lab is all about conversion of our message (sine) signal into corresponding Amplitude
Modulated (AM) signal and then transmission of that AM signal via transmitter after power
amplification.

Amplitude Modulation is the process of combining message (sine) signal with a high frequency
carrier signal so that message (sine) signal varies the amplitude of carrier signal. AM produces
the modulation envelope that has the same waveform as message (sine) signal. Amplitude
variation of the message (sine) signal causes amplitude variation in the high frequency carrier
signal.

We do modulation so that our message (sine) signal could be transmitted to receiver situated at
relatively larger distance with very little or no distortion because during the process of
modulation our message (sine) signal get translated to carrier’s high frequency and high
frequency modulated signals are immune to most kind of distortion and original signal could be
retrieved from them using demodulator at receiving end. This figure shows how the frequency
of our message (sine) signal get translated after modulation

After modulation the modulated signal is powered up by RF power amplifier so that modulated
signal could be transmitted to receivers situated at far off places. Finally, this powered up signal
is transmitted using antenna.
